I got up early to watch the Oscar nominations. A couple thoughts:
Right off the bat, much better assortment than last year for Best Picture. Movies like Lincoln, Argo, Life of Pi and Silver Linings Playbook trump movies like The Help, War Horse, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and The Tree...
I was at CVS today and decided to look at what junk store DVDs they had. There was a stray copy of WALL-E that was completely unwrapped. It was definitely a few years old as it had the "eco-friendly" packaging. I opened up the box to find that everything was in there but the disc, clearly...
So I saw Lincoln tonight. Good, solid film, a tad slow in parts but still a good Spielberg effort. Though the true highlight was the woman sitting next to me. She spent the whole movie reciting Lincoln's speeches when they were said in the film and telling me everything important right before it...
The Iron Giant was basically the only good thing Warner Brothers Feature Animation had their name on. Space Jam, despite being beloved by 90s kids with strapped-on-tight, is a clustered wandering mess. Quest for Camelot and Osmosis Jones both have fantastic animation (still consider the...
I've thought about getting an iPad when the warranty on my laptop expires in August. Sort of a "maybe" "maybe not" deal, probably mroe towards the latter.
If they did bring Dinosaurs to The Hub, it'd be awesome if they filmed new bumpers with Baby Sinclair the way they did a bunch of new commercials with ALF in them, but given all the Kevin Clash drama lately, surely The Hub wouldn't want that negative publicity.
I don't own the Blu-ray, but it seems to be. From what I've heard though, the DVD included in this combo pack is the same full-screen-only DVD that's been going around for years.
I wouldn't be surprised if Fraggle Rock came back in the summer. The Hub has been making a habit of bringing back older shows for periods of time, presumably as filler, so I think it's only a matter of time before Fraggle Rock comes back, even if it's in the overnight hours. And who knows? Maybe...
I know I'm a few days late, but happy New Year everyone!
This has been a year of ups and downs indeed, what with being stuck at community college and some other lows, mostly minor (ex. a chain of car problems that ranged from flat tires to running out of gas on the road to a tree hitting my...
Thankfully he's past his whole Puppeteerz show stage, he's been spending most of the last year taking Michael Jackson songs and claiming they are from his new album.
Oh, and he has like 6 separate Facebook accounts. Who needs 6 Facebooks?
Fraggle Rock's last showing on The Hub as of this date was June 1, 2012. By the end of it's first run, it was on only once a day in essentially a graveyard slot at 7AM. I'm sure it'll be back in time though. But on the other hand, The Hub still has tons of great shows... at least shows better...
Will this help?

Does Disney really feel it so necessary to give Planes a theatrical release? Cars 2 will still be fresh in people's minds in August... I don't see it doing too well.
Best
Live-action film - Argo. I'm sure once I see more of 2012's big contenders for Best Picture I'll change my mind but Argo is one of those rare movies that has it all and so much more. And I want to see a spin-off movie just about John Goodman and Alan Arkin.
Animated film - Frankenweenie...
