Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Hmm, a promising beginning. Interested to find out who Hilda's understudy will be. Also, who's Bernard? And hey, OC's are okay, we've got plenty o' em in all the fics posted here at the forum. Look forward to read whatever's next.
The one change I just really don't get is Big Bird now living atop a tree. Yes, I know birds usually live in trees, and that fits with what SW is going for with reinforcing a more natural habitat for the "core" characters... But uh, he's an almost eight foot tall bird. The tree that he would...
Lyrics for "We're Doing A Series".
Sung
:): We're doing a series, we're back by popular demand.
So come on everybodyAnd strike up the band.
:): We're doing a series.
:o: That's what they do in Hollywood.
Both: And everybody hopes that this series is really good.
Kermit and Fozzie: We're doing...
Usually, yes, the pilot is Episode 1 of a series, but not necessarily always the case. Remember that the first episode of The Muppet Show that was taped was the episode guest starring Jim Neighbors, and yet that was Episode 106.
Didn't comment on it before, but now that I've watched the episode on repeats I disagree with Renaldo calling the snake people amphibinoids. The proper classification for that species of animal-human being would be reptiloids, amphibinoids would be more akin to the Encurseans from Ben-Ten.
Surprised this wasn't commented on last week... Kicking a Ball and Pretending It Hurts made me laugh almost every second.
From the confusion over "fútbol" versus "football" to the Sock Him running gag of beating up Beast Boy to the overexaggeration of the "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!" to the discovery...
So long as you come back and finish it, we can wait.
*Lifts tablecloth, don't think you can hide under there cause we got you covered.
If you need ideas we can bounce them in PM. Especially since I'm caught in other good loooong fics lately.
Now back to my own particular plottings.
*Leaves...
Wha? A sitcom about Satan working for the police force? What happened to Satan and the Schoolgirl? *Angry demand!
All kidding aside, I'll be waiting for the new Muppet pilot project to air. I'm sure we'll all have opinions to share at that time.
*The scare crew hussle to deliver some birthday presents.
At Apt 2, :insatiable: drops off a PB-chocolate cheesecake crusted with pecans, the blue monster sometimes dabbles in baking pastries as well as devouring them.
:batty: adds a gift card for some of the stores at the HVC mall.
Meanwhile...
That's a nice pic. Yep, Skeeter as the goofball/sometimes cranky Amethyst is a perfect call. Robin as Steven's a good choice too, maybe Walter in a revised/different version?
Thanks for all of this. :jim:
Oh, now I get it. Another funny idea would be whichever female Muppet you cast as Amethyst impersonating Piggy/Pearl from the latest runin with Slinker.
Buck Dewey, the mayor's son? Huh, seems Jamie the over-acting thespian was the one with an overt crush on Garnet, at least that's what I got from last week's ep, didn't watch it in full.
If Piggy is Pearl going to the gym, that reinforces even more her anger/jealousy/inferiority feelings...
Nice concepts. Mayhaps  is waiting for Annie Sue so he can ask her what a "familiar" is. As for Piggy and Link, urm, the only reference I can draw is that she's mad at the arrival of Spamelite and thinks she needs to be stronger through physical exercise. Then again, I could be...
Wanted to wish a happy birthday to another of my forum friends. You probably won't see this until whatever hour in the AM you log in to the forums (:p), but hope you and your Fragglish clan celebrates it in grand style.
Dang... You just gave me the image of a technorganic Big Bird seated atop of Snuffy fused together as SkyLynx.
Maybe SW can keep the Aveggies AM's around for a Season 46 episode, most probably a street story—since Cookie's Crummy Pictures might be replaced—parodying Captain America 3: Civil...
Saw the sketch thanks to the upload at Filmforce's website, dunno why Toughpigs and/or Mindset haven't posted it yet.
The only member of the team conspicuous by his absence was Falcon, though he could have been named Peppercorn.
The Mighty Corn's hammer, thoat could be named Mazorclnir
And they...
Hmm... So they're planning a total of two 2-packs per serie with the first four series roughly planned out. That gets us a total of sixteen of the twenty-four Muppet Select figures mentioned only as a guestimate in a previous ASK DST segment. We know the first half of S1 will be the pairing...
So long as you go somewhere the food is just as righteous to your liking and have a good time with your family, that's the important thing Kath.
Again, happy birthday! :excited: *Robin smilie for "hugs".
Happiest of birthday wishes to one of my best forum friends. We've sure had lots of fun times here since we signed up the same year... And lots of interesting times as well. Glad you're still with us Kathy, enjoy your birthday meal at the dessert manufacturer facility.
*:D plays a song...
