Lips is back with the Muppets? And he spoke an actual line in this episode?
You wouldn't have known it from reading the reactions of everyone who's posted in this thread in the previous three pages. *Insert sarcasm Muppet smilie.
Yeah... I had the same thought that Kleptomaniac/Pickpocket Fozzie from the alternate universe where Kermit was never born from VMMC was creeping into Fozzie's actual personality. *Shrugs.
Also of note... When Kermit says they're having the first Code Green ever, we get his happy arm-flailing...
Heh, no wonder the whole band's always happy now, legally.
*:insatiable: is desperately trying to get hold of either :news: or Bobo to get some girl scout cookies.
And I love that Uncle Deadly has a job at Up Late with Miss Piggy as the one in charge of wardrobe. Look out for loose threads...
Apparently this thread got buried by the Spoilers thread. Anyway, here are my thoughts.
1 Loved that Uncle Deadly got a part in the first segment.
Piggy doesn't have a date for the People's Choice awards...
UD: "Shocking, she seems like such pleasant company."
2 Was that Yolanda trying to get...
To quote :boo: "You didn't miss much."
Scooter appeared to give them the 15 seconds to air alert, Fozzie was practicing his intro, and Kermit spoke about them helping DWTS tonight.
Piggy took over introducing the stars and their partners alongside Tom, and that was basically it.
So again...
So we're all in agreement, we're calling "shenanigans" on Tom Burgerbuns and the rest of DWTS's production team for this.
Fozzie's still in need of some help as an announcer, his "Holly in the Woods" made me laugh.
I did like some of the dances though like the Addams Family tango. :scary:
Congrats and happy birthday to an all-around great guy and forum member. *:insatiable: wheels in the birthday cake.
Happy birthday Shane! :grouchy: :fanatic:
Hee, don't worry about it, we can wait for new chapter. Especially since next episode means Kermit trying to be the good guy and set Piggy up with the guy who was locked in Gulag 38B's prison sweatbox (or at least the actor who provided that character's singing voice).
BTW: I have this thought...
Funny you say that since I'm following a story on fanfiction.net titled Old Meets New which is basically the original SD gang brought into the Mystery Incorporated universe working as two teams towards the eventual showdown with Nabiru. The one thing I only sort of disagree with but let slide...
*Hugs Gina for finally coming back.
Yes, Denise is the new pig's name. Funnily enough that gives us five female pigs part of the Muppets cast now.
Everybody here pretty much expects the Kermit+Denise ship to be a temporary thing, they'll brake up, and then Kermit and Piggy will reunite...
Not rully that impressed with Wabbit so far. Saw the shorts on Tuesday: St. Bugs and The Dragon was predictable, the one with Wile E. Coyote took me a while to figure out that was him, and the only thing that made me sort of laugh was Sam trying to rob/get on or into the internet. And they...
The female mouse voiced by Melissa Manchester in The Great Mouse Detective wasn't a stripper, she was a lady entertainer/singer who went a costume change from meek little mouse to showgirl.
Was already planning on celebrating today in Jim's honor by tuning in to MCR to listen to Muppet music. And I'm even more pleased to find it a Jim/Steve-thon in terms of the characters and songs featured, much as I enjoy each year's Jerry-thon tribute. Thanks for this Phil, keep up the good...
Like I said, I could be wrong and confusing the two Elizabeth-named actresses. Guess I should head to Wiki before posting something like that. Meh. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. :skeptical:
As for the celebrity guest stars in this episode.... Could be wrong about this, but the name Elizabeth Banks immediately equals the character Jesse Spanno which she portrayed in the iconic series Saved By The Bell. Yes? No? *Shrugs. :shifty:
Something I hope gets added in future episodes is actual Muppet music. All we have is Imagine Dragons' "Rock Bottom". There was no theme song and I dunno if you could count Dr. Teeth's brief scatting or Dancing With the Czars as musical numbers.
Er, I think it was...
Scooter: "Kermit and I have worked together so long that I can anticipate when he gives me the look. And when he gives me the look, I have to go and ask him what it means."
I'm pleasantly surprised by the number of Muppets that got moments in this first episode alone and...
Thinking back and hearing her voice in my head, I agree with Erine81981, Denise is more of a country-style city girl. And her joke about the dinner she got shows she knows comedy.
Another little thing that made me laugh/cheer was when Fozzie replied to Carl (Becky's dad) that he got his salmon...
