Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I thought that was blown way out of proportion. I wouldn't want anyone putting their hands on my mouth, I don't care who they are, that's rude and unsanitary. :attitude: But I sorta' like Rosie also, so go figure. :sing:
That purple furry monster from CeC was very scary. The only Muppets to ever scare me as a kid were Statler after the vend-a-face punched him in the mouth and the old lady who wrestled Kermit. I had an illustrated book that had the latter sketch in it, and I was scared of her in the illustrated...
I was hoping to get your personal take on that post, Jamie. And I wasn't apologizing for feeling I was talking about something bad (clearly not, as I was trying to communicate just how important Richard's entire life is so important to me), I just realize that MC is a more light-hearted place...
I understand, and like I said, if needed to be edited or deleted, I take no issue with that. Let me say then whether it is true or speculation, it was key in helping me become an open minded person and I love and admire Richard because of it. My apologies if I was out of line.
MV3D merch is always a weird subject. The original rumor that existed shortly after Jim died was that the family was with-holding rights so Disney wasn't allowed to make anything new, so it was believed they were going to make a new MV3D film so they could legally make whatever they wanted as...
That opening with him, Seacrest, Bergeron, Probst and Minogue was just awful, right? It was like they were lost children in a mall or something.
That's what I'm talking about. It was like; "Oh cool, they're acknowledging TMS" and at the same time thinking "what the heck are they doing?" Josh...
I'd like to make a quick statement about the religion and homosexuality points brought up, and if they're deemed inappropriate, I will understand if they need to be edited or deleted, even though I think it's important.
I was brought up in a very religious family and like many Christians, was...
Good read. One question, does anyone know where I can find the interview Frank and "others" expressed disappointment w/ the current state of the Muppets? I've read about his thoughts on SS, but I'm curious about these other statements.
Definitely great they recognized TMS as a classic show, but I'm sure Eric could have made a brief cameo, it looked so hackneyed and slapped together. Of course, the Emmy's this year don't seem very well written.
So I'm watching the Prime Time Emmys when Josh Groben starts singing a medley of television theme songs. He breaks into two lines of The Muppet Show theme doing his best Animal impression while a very poorly puppeteered MR Animal replica simply bounces around like an epileptic tart next to the...
So just out of curiosity, why are you movin' there? A new job? Witness protection plan? The gold rush? ;)
It sounds like a great new adventure either way!
