LOL. Unique choice of characters. I'm most surprised by them including Snuffy & Count. Thought they would've included someone like Grover or Cookie Monster.
The honkers are still around. They pop up occasionally every now and then. And they are still featured in the Sesame Street Live tours. But yeah, they aren't seen as much as they used to be.
I like your ideas. I've had a few myself.
A Walking Tour of Sesame Street:40 Years Later
Hosted by James Earl Jones
Would air on PBS or NBC, primetime
James Earl Jones revisits Sesame Street, and shows us again how the show has revolutionized and changed the world. He interviews...
I just thought of, well, you know how they always put songs from the tv show in the stage adaption, well, I think one of the best song adaptations recently has to have been "Believe In Yourself". And seeing it live was really cool.
It's funny especially when Baby Bear says "...You gotta love a...
Do you guys text a lot? I have become overly addicted to doing so. Lol. I honestly think I text more than I talk over the phone. Is that normal? XD :batty:
Do you all text a lot or would you rather just talk?
ROFL. Can't say I felt thay way. Lol;)
As long as my favorite appeared on the show, which was Big Bird, I didn't really care all too much. I didnt even pay no mind how popular Elmo was. I always thought Big Bird was the popular one...boy was I wrong. :batty:
Lol.
I have a love/hate thing for Elmo. Heck, I grew up with him, and he's my second favorite. From old clips I've seen, I agree with heralde, that Elmo was much more funnier and sweeter. I LOVED his voice back then. It seemed like ever since Season 29(post Tickle Me era) , it began to change; and...
I say mini-series because the book is so long and has so much rich history about the show to be crammed into like, 90 minutes of a motion picture. But think about it, wouldn't that be cool? I mean a film based on the enitire history of Sesame Street? Could it work?
:insatiable:
This is awful. And CNN didn't make it any better by making fun of it.
Just in time for the 40th season...
Man,...if I had a million dollars, I would donate it to the workshop(maybe they could produce more episodes?). This recession is just a bad nightmare and it really has hit close to...

Lol. It reminds me of Pattie Labelle's song "New Attitude". Does anyone know who is the voice of the bee? She sounds like one of the women who voiced the Palettes in Elmo's Coloring Book (they were awsome, IMHO).
I hope someone posts the cast singing...
:oLol. Thanks for clearing that up!
Yeah, I saw the vid of "Mix It Up". I like how the redid it. It's surprising how they use SSL songs for the themepark shows too.
I think one of the most difficult songs to understand is "Telephone Talk" from Big Bird's Sunny Day Camp Out. It's cute, but...
Yep.
If Di$ had bought Sesame, then(as someone has said) we would be seeing A LOT more Elmo, and Abby probably would have been thought of earlier on. I think the only postive thing is we would get more episodes.
Another bad thing is instead of SSL...it would be Sesame Street On Ice...
No, I think it was written for SS. I know the cast performed it in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade a couple years back. And yes, SSL cds are hard to come by!
Most definately. I read in an arcticle kids favorite characters (cira. 1997) were, in order:
Elmo
Big Bird:wisdom:
Ernie:p
Cookie Monster:insatiable:
Zoe
I guess that's why you saw a lot of merchandising with these 5 characters.
