The honkers are still around. They pop up occasionally every now and then. And they are still featured in the Sesame Street Live tours. But yeah, they aren't seen as much as they used to be.

Yep. If Di$ had bought Sesame, then(as someone has said) we would be seeing A LOT more Elmo, and Abby probably would have been thought of earlier on. I think the only postive thing is we would get more episodes. Another bad thing is instead of SSL...it would be Sesame Street On Ice...

No, I think it was written for SS. I know the cast performed it in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade a couple years back. And yes, SSL cds are hard to come by!
