I caught bits and pieces of the special. It was really well done. The Celebrity Jeopardy being my favorite sketch. Hope it gets a DVD release in the future. (Or blu-ray, something).

Their not being selfish their running a studio/business. They can release what they want when they want and how they want. I am happy with the old school and 40 years boxsets as they are. That's plenty of material right there. Releasing a 4000 episode series of any caliber in this day and age...

I could see why people would see it as a sitcom. But as Snowth said, it was first and foremost a variety sketch comedy show. Plot seemed to always be subordinate to the guest and to the skits.
