The Muppet Mindset also parodied Tough Pigs with a "My week with...." and "Beautiful toys contest" articles. I think that's the first time the Mindset did two articles in one day. And the title card was similar to Toughpigs, only it had Lindbergh, Mr. Poodlepants, and Angelo.
EDIT: I was just...
This is the only April fools thread that I was close to believing, just because the post starts with "Yes, this is really happening". I mean, when people make April fools jokes, they don't lie about them being real news before the jokes and the April Fools confirmation, right? I would think that...
Well, Warner Archive is offering its first Sesame Street releases, and in fact it's two releases. First up is "The Best of Sesame Street: Season One", featuring two episodes from the first season (episodes 7 and 113) and 69 bonus clips, and there's "The Best of Sesame Street: Season Two"...
Another thing I debated about was what version of the theme song to say would be included. I had also considered the Connie Stevens pilot version as well as the fan club 45 version.
Well I recently saw that episode, which is Slave to Fashion.
I just found this, which is most likely an April Fools joke: http://www.kickstarter.com.funnyordie.com/projects/58376901/darkwing-duck
I had no idea that would be censored, but I guess I've never seen that song title written in the forum. How'd you get it uncensored?
Dang it, with the "Too Good to be True" subtitle, I should have included "You're Just Too Good to be True" with Ruth Buzzi and Sweetums as one of the songs. I...
I had this idea for an april fools joke around the time that "The Muppets" came out, but didn't do it last year.
There's a few things I wanted to put in this, but didn't. I wanted to list a few songs that weren't listed, including Raggmopp, Any Old Iron, The Varsity Drag, and the Pigs in...
I didn't think this would be coming, since season 5 was last released a few years ago and this seems to be the big old shame for the show, but it's been announced that "Saturday Night Live: The Complete Sixth Season" is coming to DVD this summer. Bonus features will include three compilations...
Today I went to the Disney Store (there is one near where I live, but it's in an area I don't usually visit), and found that the store has a few new Muppet plush.
I walked in and saw plush of Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, Rowlf, Scooter, and '80s Robot. I asked somebody at the...
I know that a lot of Warner properties are on YouTube. In fact I thought I've heard about Warner taking some things down, yet there's still a lot of Looney Tunes, Anamaniacs, Tiny Toons, Taz-Mania, and other WB properties online.
A few months ago I was interviewed for the booklet for an upcoming project, and I've been told a few other fans were as well, but Disney just now sent me an e-mail confirming what it was for and not only gave me the okay to tell you all online, but also a full press release on what it is. It'll...
I wonder if any public domain programs have ever been taken down from YouTube because of video companies that released them. Which would be a big blow... They paid nothing to release the videos, and then prevent people from seeing them online for free.
Is there a trope for instances where a character is talking dirt about another, and that character suddenly shows up behind the character who is talking badly about him/her?
Some examples:
In UHF, George talks badly about his boss, Big Edna, who shows up as he's talking about her.
In The...
What's the deal with people being able to work around copyright on YouTube by showing alternate versions of some programs? It seems some companies are against their work being uploaded online by fans, sometimes going as far as to remove videos that include clips or audio that the companies...
Has Sesame Workshop been taking down full episodes that are not available on DVD or iTunes? Or is it just the ones that can be purchased legally?
Buck-Beaver mentioned that it could be the current distribution deal. But then shouldn't the copyright claim be by Warner as opposed to Sesame...
I'm not surprised. After all, Warner Music Group has blocked various Muppet videos with music tracks that the company released long before YouTube was invented. Ditto with many of the Disney Afternoon theme songs, apparently.
Least favorite holiday: New Years (eve and day). I've never really enjoyed it as a kid, since school starts very soon after New Year is over (maybe not the day after, but within a few days), I don't really appreciate it much now (though it's been years since I didn't have to work past midnight...
At the beginning of UHF, after George accidentally burns the fries at Burger World, Bob tells him he'd better not let Big Edna see it, prompting George to ask Bob why he's so afraid of her and talk badly about her, only for Big Edna to show up at that very moment and fire/throw out both of them...
