Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
For my last day of customs this week, I present a controversial figure, who never made it out of toddlerhood in built-Muppet form, but is seen in illustrations as a third-grader (approximately) in the Muppet Kids books in the early 1990's.
Of course, it's Scooter's twin sister, Skeeter...
I'm looking forward to this, especially with Quinnmas coming up on June 12th....for those of you still shopping.... :halo:
This, the Muppet Playing Cards, and Muppet U-No are all gonna make my life a little bit more Muppety and Gamey. In fact, in trying to get into shape for the...
I wear my "27" Hoodie all the time.
I guess what Fozzie was wearing didn't look like a Hoodie to me. I can see it now, but I was trying to figure out something that would make a fitting companion piece to the Toga Animal.
:o :halo:
Quinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
All five EM members for 15.95 ???
"HECK" YEAH!!!!!!
....wait a sec....where's Animal ??? :halo: :halo: :halo: ???
I'll still get the four for 15.95, but where's ANIMAL ???
...and in the Fozzie-Animal two-pack...Animal's wearing a toga, but can anyone identify what Fozzie's...
Here we have two flightless waterfowl that people have been clamoring for since Palisades started this baby up: PENGUINS. More than just a fetish object for Luke, for many of us the penguins are as important to Muppety scenes as rats and chickens. So I decided late one night to try making them...
Emma, you Louise Gold Stalker You....
Of all the Muppet fans out there, I was hoping you'd see this one, and I'm glad you approve of my attempt at making Annie Sue. Her amazingly freaky hair didn't quite turn out like Annie Sue's but I'll just claim it's a bad hair day.
And I'm glad you...
...the large sets Hasbro HAS produced in the last few years, including the Queen's Starship from TPM and the Arena Playset from AOTC, haven't sold very well at all at retail, and they both were being clearanced; they also take up a lot of shelf space (in the stores), which may be why Hasbro has...
Okay, this is a custom that I obviously made from a Series 1 Miss Piggy: Annie Sue Pig.
Known by few, disparaged by many, Annie Sue is one of the few female characters on "The Muppet Show," so although she isn't my favorite character, I thought I'd give her a try...
Foo-Foo is DEFINITELY not coming up next.
Or this week at all.
Have YOU ever tried sculpting Poodle fur? ??
I would love to do Foo-Foo, but haven't got the skills. Yet.
:halo:
Okay, this is one I've wanted to do for a while, but my sculpting skills aren't quite up to it yet...so here's my attempt.
This is Gaffer the Backstage Cat, who is obviously just a non-articulated piece made from Sculpey...
I've never liked the dramatic episodes, but I prefer Rachel and Ross over Rachel and Joey.
I love Joey, but can't see him with Rachel.
Despite what the writers think.
....these seem to be a lot of people's favorites, from the comments I've gotten so far...weird. They're so obscure, and so simple, but they turned out really well.
They're just Sculpey...sculpted, baked, and painted.
I guess Muppet fans really like their cheese.
*shudder*
:o...
Awesome news, Eric--completely unexpected Muppety goodness.
It's gotta be better than the copies of copies of copies of copies that are floating around out there...
;)
Okay, here's Day Two;
Kermit the Borg.
This actually started out as a fairly innocuous Robo-Kermit from The Muppet Show, but I wanted to do something more than put a clockwork key in his back. So then he became a little bit more Robotic, and then I decided I wanted something to go with...
Hiya Phil--thanks for the reply!
His biggest challenge was something I may go back and correct; when I sculpted the swimming trunks on him, I didn't have his legs in JUST the right position, and as a result, his legs are a bit bent so he needs a stand to stand up; and that bugs me enough...
Hey Muppaholics--I know not all of you frequent the Palisades Toys message boards, so I thought I'd give you a heads-up:
This week I'm posting pictures of seven different custom-made action figures to go with my Muppet Show Action Figures, and first up is "Vacation Kermit," to go along with...
Scott, you freak! Did you just photoshop that? Did they seriously make that?
As Keanu would say,
"whoa."
I've got an Electric Mayhem 3-ring binder, but don't have any of the others.
So sad.
:D :sing: :flirt:  :halo:
