You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Sometimes, I see programs that have scenes where somebody says something, usually something shocking, another character says "What?!", and the first character asks, "Did I stutter?" What's the deal with that? Just because someone stutters doesn't mean you can't understand what they say, and just...

Classic Clips on SST Workshop's Site

Just found the "Say the Word" game show with Guy Smiley. I don't ever remember that one being on the site. Could they finally be adding more classic clips after a two-year dry spell? I did a few key searches to see if I could find more newly-added clips but couldn't find any (I've only...

Rare "Cracks" animation from 1970's Sesame Street

I have wondered that recently. Though I looked back at the program guide page that was shown in this thread and the educational lesson mentioned for Crack Master was "Divisive Thinking" (whatever that means) as opposed to fear.

Muppets Most Wanted at 2013 D23 Expo

Where from Tough Pigs did you read this? Because I read coverage on the site as well as the forums, facebook, and twitter, and didn't find anything.

Warner Home Video now distributing Sesame Workshop DVDs

Oh yeah I don't think about that sketch often, though I did remember knowing about it right after I made my post. I don't remember seeing that sketch, but I've read that Bert eases Ernie's fear by telling him to imagine the sounds being flashes from Olivia's camera. Considering Olivia is...

Video: Muppets Most Wanted Official Teaser Trailer On-line

Thinking of Sam's team-up with an agent, why do I think that Sam is featured as if he hadn't been part of the Muppets before? It wouldn't be the first time in a Muppet movie that an established character was separate from the gang, but since this is meant to be a sequel to the last film, and Sam...

Warner Home Video now distributing Sesame Workshop DVDs

It's been announced that the next Sesame Street DVD after C is for Cooking will be "Being Brave", featuring stories and inserts about facing fears. The Muppet Wiki page mentions one celebrity appearance, someone from The Sopranos. I searched that actors page on Muppet Wiki, and saw that he...

Big Bird's Favorite Party Games VHS Question

There are no known recording dates for the video releases (I wouldn't be surprised if Sesame Workshop or Random House has some in its vaults). But it would have been made during production of season 19, if not during the summer between seasons. Too bad Jim Henson wasn't involved with many of...

Was "Learning About Letters" Really An Episode Of Sesame Street?

I've often wondered about this. I feel it could have been an episode, with various non-alphabet segments, though I doubt there's ever been an actual episode sponsored by the whole alphabet (and until 2002 I don't think there's been any street stories about the alphabet). And I've also...

    So... Sesame Street Season 44!

I didn't realize that Cookie Monster's new series of inserts was called Cookie's Crumby Pictures and were all parodies. I thought The Biscotti Kid was the title for the series of inserts, as opposed to one installment.

Video: Muppets Most Wanted Official Teaser Trailer On-line

The previous movie needed to have all of the archs filled (the director claims it's because some characters missed their cue, but that joke isn't exactly obvious enough), and yeah I don't think Gonzo's trumpet gag was that good, but still, I don't know if I want them to redo the opening again...

Video: Muppets Most Wanted Official Teaser Trailer On-line

At first I thought that shot of Constantine in the "O" was reused from The Muppets, but then noticed the "O" there was in "Show" instead of "Telethon". It makes me wonder if they'll re-do the opening again... And I actually hope they don't, unless they add something really significant to it...

    So... Sesame Street Season 44!

It makes me wonder if we'll be seeing more characters this year who haven't been seen in awhile. And this isn't even the anniversary season (you don't need an anniversary to bring back long-unseen characters, but still...).

    So... Sesame Street Season 44!

I know. Though I a surprised they didn't make new sounding out segments (or even reair older ones) in season 38 when the main curriculum goal was reading. Though it seems they keep being used and then not. I've read that David Rudman took over Richard's half of the character as soon as he...

The Great Muppet Caper and Muppet Treasure Island coming to Blu-ray December 10

Reminds me of the time I found that some of the Land Before Time sequels were released together on DVD and the sequels included were not in order. Like one DVD that has the two movies with Chopper (II and V), though that makes a little sense since it was promoted as a Chopper release. Don't know...

    So... Sesame Street Season 44!

I just watched some of those clips that have been uploaded, and what great clips I've seen so far. Is that Frank Oz as the orange gold biker in Sons of Poetry? At times he sounds a bit like Bert, but at times he also sounds gruffer. Or maybe it's Eric Jacobson in an original role. And I lead...

Pre-Order "The Muppet Movie" coming to Blu-ray August 13, 2013

Is it wrong for me to think it'd odd that they saved various outtakes but not deleted scenes from the movie (well, at least it has the extended Doc Hopper commercial, something I hadn't been aware of until it was announced)?

The Great Muppet Caper and Muppet Treasure Island coming to Blu-ray December 10

It would be interesting to see if this release includes The Making of Muppet Treasure Island special that aired on The Disney Channel in 1996. I'm surprised Disney opted for a different behind-the-scenes feature for the original DVD release. Of course that's also depending on if Disney wants to...

Rare "Cracks" animation from 1970's Sesame Street

There's that as well, but since segments were repeated in multiple episodes, it'd make more sense to cut segments that show up in other episodes that the channel was airing. And if there's a need to edit something for content, then that helps in choosing what to cut.

The Great Muppet Caper and Muppet Treasure Island coming to Blu-ray December 10

I don't think that cover is so bad.... For a double-feature release. I would have expected one of these to come out closer to the release of Muppets Most Wanted. I think I saw an Amazon listing that also had blu-ray listings for both movies separately.
