I'm not pointing fingers, but I've noticed a great deal of the people whining about the exclusives they can't get aren't the die hard Muppet fans, and I'm betting they are looking at those exclusives as nothing more then a financial investment...

Wonder what casting choices they have in mind. I also don't know what it will be like without Lorenzo (wasn't that the man that voiced Garfield).
I'm also leery of the release date. A CGI film in 12 months that hasn't even started shooting yet? I doubt they'll make it by then, if they do...
If Suncoast stores can ship inventory from store to store, there was a case of series one figures that appeared yesterday in Memphis. They had been sold out for awhile, and then yesterday Piggy, Kermit, Teeth, and the good Dr. were all there along with series three. No series two left though.
Adding to what you said Annika, the big thing here is that they are very visable to the collectors. Giveaways in the Music world, TV, Movies, etc. aren't as well known to the general public, and don't cause as big of an, "ooooh, I want it" type feeling.

I think that maybe part of the reason you don't "get" their humor, is that it is the most specific type of humor I've really seen the Muppets do. To me, their humor is very New York and Hollywood. Maybe its just me, but thats my take on them, and I find most everything they do pretty darn...
I've interviewed a few of them on the radio, we've been at the same place at the same time some in Oxford and Memphis, and Lance had a crush on/went out with my best friend for awhile in High School. Not a big deal. And no, I won't give out their cell phone numbers!
