Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Pepe gets some good one-liners, but I don't think we know anything about his "character"...except that he's a greedy backstabbing little prawn who will do anything to get his way.
I don't really like Bobo...and Clifford was mis-used as a host for Muppets Tonight. I liked him on the Jim...
But what he'd like to do and what the consumers will support are two different things. Unfortunately. I'm sure they could kick some serious booty with what they've learned over the last few years...
I just have to highlight and back up what SarahJayne said...
INSECT REPELLENT AND SUNSCREEN.
You can consider everything else optional, but definitely bring those.
Also, if you don't like stuff tasting funny, hand sanitizer/Wet-Naps are a must.
Cause your hands are going to be dirty...
"Watchmen" would be great...
I'd like to see a bunch of DC Comics comic book movies, if they could be done as well as the X-Men and Spidey movies have been... Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Justice League...
And then wind it all up with a "Kingdom Come" movie.
Mmmm.
Disney has not, is not, and will not be cancelling the line.
If anything ends this line prematurely, it will be sales. Or the lack thereof. If as many people bought the toys as said they would, then we'd be seeing more characters like Bean Bunny and Sweater Vest Gonzo and more...
I think Annie Sue could be a distant possibility with Palisades Direct...but otherwise I don't see it happening. If they can't even sell a Miss Piggy figure as part of a playset, I doubt they're going to put out what would be seen as "an ugly freaky-haired Miss Piggy" figure any time soon.
Maybe they'd accept it now...seeing that the company they went with can't put out a single freaking toy...
And because I keep sending them threatening letters with scraps of fur and foam and fingernails in them...
I've read a lot of negative reviews about this one...and heard there's quite a bit of violence towards animals and people...and that they used shock collars on "Odie" to get him to jump in circles and stuff....
I can't support that.
:sympathy:
I didn't think I'd be looking forward to the shifty eyed Sam, but he looks pretty darn cool....very distinctive, nice easy variant for ol' Sammy.
:attitude: He hates to be called Sammy.
And Wiggy, supply and demand, dude--if people are willing to pay that, they'll sell. If not, then...
