The new season of South Park starts October 3.
The slumber party ep. is another one in my top 10.
Actually, I did a search for a thread solely on South Park, but I couldn't find one. And I had remembered this one from last month, but had forgotten it was meant to celebrate Butters. But I'm...
I'd say Frank Oz would be a good candidate. But I'm guessing if he were a guest, he would primarily discuss his career as a director. The show certainly doesn't cater exclusively to actors anymore. Billy Joel was a guest. Several film directors were guests. I'm assuming if he were asked to...
I finally saw The Return of Chef! last night. I'd probably put it in my top 10 all-time favorite South Park episodes.
Series regular Isaac Hayes had notoriously left the show after the Scientology episode, leaving the fate of his character Chef, up in the air. But the SP guys wouldn't let...
From The Giant Gila Monster:
Sheriff: See you later, son!
Chase (guy in movie): Right, sheriff!
Crow: Son? He called me son! No wonder mom cries when I mention the sheriff!

Chase (with his French girlfriend): You know English well enough to...
Speaking of animation and "children's entertainment," has anyone heard/seen the new direct-to-DVD movie, Superman: Doomsday? I was wondering if it was worth a look, since I have the death of Supes comics. Some of the voices include Adam Baldwin, Anne Heche, Tom Kenny and John DiMaggio.

Actually, Count, Alex (Beakerfan) did arrest/blow me up for murdering a muffin. Claudia thanked me for congratulating her on her milestone.:zany:
This is exactly the reaction I got when I bought a couple of the Time-Life Muppet Shows on VHS at my local Best Buy several years ago. The cashier was like "wow, the Muppets! I always loved Miss Piggy!" And she was probably around my age.
Well, that's another good point. Films such as Singin' in the Rain, An American in Paris, The Band Wagon, etc. offered bright, candy-colored images, complete with lavish numbers to contrast with the home viewer's flickering black and white televisions.:)
Not to be nitpicky, lol, but Technicolor really took off in the 1930s (although there are silent films from the 'teens and twenties that used a primitive form of what would eventually become Technicolor).
The big movie crazes of the 1950s were Cinemascope (widescreen pictures) and 3-D. Both...
Heh heh, I plan to! It'll be great to see Easy Reader, Fargo, J. Arthur Crank, Jennifer of the Jungle and those awesome cartoons (Letter Man, etc.) again!
