Really?! I put them up here on the forum a few months ago, and felt so happy. That's a shame to hear. I don't think these episodes are available anywhere else, unfortunately.
Hi RazzleDazzle! It's a pleasure to have you here.
That is a very good motto to live by, and I wish we could all live in a world with a bit more laughter and less hatred.
Just "picture a world" like that...
There are some sources that say Oscar's favorite dessert is strawberry ice cream with pickles and sardines. I think it says so in the SS book "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Smell No Evil," the "Oscar and the number 4" bit by Mel Crawford from the SS Book of Numbers (1973), and the rare audio...
For me, it's not hard to do Lew Zealand, Dr. Strangepork, Uncle Deadly, or Pops because I have a loud voice. It's tougher for me to do Robin's high-pitched voice and Louis Kazagger, too. And I especially have trouble with Floyd's voice and laugh. I end up coughing after I do it.
And to throw...
Wowie! Where did you see her perform? I'm amazed that she still tours. A lot of rock stars of her time aren't around anymore (other than Elton, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, and the Stones), but I'm glad she is. I think Fleetwood Mac is actually reuniting for a world tour this year, or maybe 2014...
There was another great one in the Dizzy Gillespie episode:
Zoot, Floyd and Animal are having a jam session outside when a woman opens her window and yells at them:
HEY! Hey you! Don't you know there's a little old lady sleeping up here?
Zoot: Nope, but hum a few bars and we'll fake it!
Then...
Hmmm...let's see:
I think my best ones are Jim's characters from The Muppet Show...Kermit, Link Hogthrob, Rowlf, Dr. Teeth, Swedish Chef, Waldorf, and the Newsman
and Ernie from SS (not Guy Smiley, that one's really hard to do well)
*I use my Sam the Eagle voice whenever I disapprove of...
Welcome, Rhys! Glad to meet you. Just watch out for the Muppet Labs Robot Rabbit and the Automatic Wastebasket. You never know when they'll sneak up on you. And help yourself to some edible paper clips at your own risk. XD LOL
AWESOME fanart! That should be on a T-shirt! I'd love to see...
Well, well, well. Another holy-grail clip for us Muppet fans...just like the zany "Surprise" song with Bob, Maria, Mr. Hooper, Gordon, Big Bird, & a few others. I would love to see both of these.
THE MUPPET SHOW
with special guest star Billy Joel
(season 4)
Cold Open:
(Scooter knocks on the door and enters.)
Scooter: Billy Joel? Fifteen seconds ‘til curtain, Mr. Joel!
Billy Joel: Thank you, Scooter. (Billy is in a T-shirt, and is working out with a punching bag. He wipes his brow with...
That is, if they've been rebuilt.
But I agree with you, FrackleFan2012. I would love to see Beauregard, the Newsman, Uncle Deadly, Luncheon Counter Monster, and Doglion, to name a few, in behind the scenes photos! :)
Thank you Pianogirl! That means a lot to me. This was a lot of fun to write. I also have a Paul McCartney fanfic and a Stevie Nicks fanfic on this forum. A Billy Joel fanfic will be coming soon!
P.S. I love your avatar. Dr. Teeth is one of my favorite Muppets!
THE MUPPET SHOW
With special guest star Stevie Nicks
(late Season 5)
Cold Open:
(Pops is behind his desk, reading a newspaper. The headline reads: “LARGEST BALONEY SANDWICH IN WORLD BUILT IN FORT LEE, NJ.”)
Pops: Heh! That’s a lotta baloney if I ever heard it!
(The backstage door opens...
Here's what I would have wanted:
Volume 16: Avery Schreiber/ Leo Sayer/ Gladys Knight
Volume 17: Kris Kristofferson & Rita Coolidge/ Christopher Reeve/ Dizzy Gillespie
Volume 18: Paul Williams/ Melissa Manchester/ Zero Mostel
Volume 19: Alan Arkin/ Ruth Buzzi/ Judy Collins
Volume 20: Don...
Yes, there were some really strange ones. I was a kid when they had the "Coming Next" features, and the one that I most clearly remember was one where Baby Bear and Zoe see a crank on Oscar's trash can, like a jack-in-the-box. BB twists the crank, and Oscar flies out of his can into the sky...
Hi there, KissesforKermie and Piano Girl! I'm very happy to meet you both...
^RIP Jerry Nelson (Herry Monster, The Count, Snuffy, Floyd Pepper, Robin, Pops, Lew Zealand, Gobo Fraggle and Pa Gorg)
I agree completely with this casting choice. Tina Fey has had prior experience working with the "distant cousins," as I see it, of the Muppet Show characters (appearing in the Bookaneers episode of Sesame Street), so she should be ready to take on this movie.
