Very well done! Now Slackbot can start bugging you to make a Gobo, then a Wembley. :smirk::coy:
I have a question, though: is this an actual puppet, or is this just a replica for display? If it's a replica, then this topic should probably be in the "Muppet Replicas" section of the forum.
A slight correction in my post: it looks they were targeted towards 3-5 year olds, not 2-4 year olds. A 2-year-old may be too young to understand how to use a licensed puppet (although I did have a Grover hand puppet when I was a toddler). :-)
What do you hate about it? I don't see a problem with it.
(On a similar note, I've always disliked how you can no longer see thumbnails for deleted videos in your favorites.)
Whoever wrote the instructions must have been under the impression that Oscar the Grouch would appeal more to boys than girls. The instructions use the pronoun "he" more than "she."
But I think kids should have parental guidance on how to work them. These are Sesame Street puppets here, and by...
Or it could possibly be The Best of Ernie and Bert. It's probably not likely though, since it looks like most of the videos on that list are Sony Wonder releases (or re-releases) from the late 90s—early 2000s. From what I've seen, TBoEaB's re-release by Sony Wonder didn't get as much reception...
I just had an amazing idea: why not start a thread for people to share their Sesame Street VHS tape collections? I'm doing VHS specifically not just for nostalgic purposes, but also because I am a big VHS geek. And I'm sure that several people here grew up with VHS as well. So, please feel free...
The only performance I was able to see of him was when he appeared on Whose Line Is It Anyway? back in about 2001. He and Drew played a game speaking different foreign languages, and he spoke them so fluently that he earned my admiration. Sid Caesar was a phenomenal comedian, but he'll never...
Or maybe the problem is the browser. I use Firefox version 3.6.28 (yes, I am a bit misoneist) on my laptop, so I probably would have to upgrade to a newer version to fix the buffering issue on YT. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what the heck is causing the problem.
Now, there's this problem I've had for the last several months with buffering. When I watch a video in 360p, which is my preferred quality for YT videos, and click on a different point of the video, occasionally the video stops buffering temporarily and its quality decreases. If you pop up the...
So I watched The Muppet Movie and The Muppets, and I wasn't surprised with how they turned out.
TMM was exciting to watch again after several years. I understand that ABC Family has to trim their movies to fit the schedule, but I really wish they didn't replace the movie's credits with simple...
MORE EDITS:
Rowlf's scene after the montage was removed.
Miss Piggy's dialogue before "Muppet Man" enters her office was removed as well.
The three executives before Veronica that deny the gang's request are removed.
That bugged me, because I was expecting that long scream. :fanatic:
I think they removed his scream because it would hurt young kids' ears. Young children can be sensitive to loud noises sometimes.
I had a dream this morning that revolved around the Sesame Street video The Alphabet Game. First, I was at work with some of the characters from the video. I had a picture of Dimples the Dog with me, and I saw him behind my desk. I said, "Hey, it's Dimples! Woof!", and he woofed back. Later, I...
Yes it is! The original video got removed, though—this embedded video was uploaded in 2008.
And about the YouTube Copyright Basics vid, I don't have much to say, but I LOVE the puppet with the orange shirt and live hands that's watching the video on the iMac in the beginning. :)
They should...
Same here. I got into YouTube back in 2006, before Google bought the service that fall and changed the site like a frenzy the following couple of years. (A little fun fact for you–the first video I ever watched was "A Count of 10", one of Jim Henson's Scanimate videos for Sesame Street!)
I...
What I don't like is that you are required to have a Google+ profile in order to post a comment on a video. Why do I need to have a profile on Google+ to post a YT comment when I never use Google+? Just a sign of Google+ being merged with YouTube. Call me a traditionalist, it's ridiculous.
Today is a special day among Sesame Street fans–young and old. The legendary performer behind Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, Caroll Spinney, turns 80 years old day. He is the oldest Muppeteer, and for over 40 years, he has entertained millions of children (and parents) all around the world. It...
