Thank you! As I said before, I erased a lot of mistakes in my drawings. The unclean spots are probably traces of these errors, which remained even when I scanned them.
Also, the Muppet Christmas picture was the first time I tried drawing Walter. I intentionally put the iPhone in front of his...
And once again, Oscar is placed here to represent Monsters...and he is NOT a Monster! Come on, he's a Grouch! They're different species.
But I'm happy to see that Cookie is getting even more public attention, which I think is a little bit overdue.
Hi there! That is some really great artwork! Very clean, bold lines and a unique style. You really made these Muppets your own! Personally, if it's not too much trouble, I'd like to see you create artwork of main Muppets like Elmo, Cookie Monster, Oscar, Big Bird, Grover, the Count, etc. or...
My only question is: who would be the new puppeteer if he were to have a speaking role? I can't think of anyone with a voice that holds a candle to Matt Robinson's.
But look: technically, she associated the Muppets with that horribly ill old woman in the shop who was probably taking her last breaths right before the subject's eyes. Once you associate something with a traumatic experience, those two will always be tied together in some way, shape, or form...
So let me get this straight...this lady's not afraid of ALL puppets. She's only afraid of the Muppet Show, Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock. Well, if only she knew about the SNL Gorch puppets, the Dark Crystal characters, or the Muppet Treasure Island pirates, all of whom are a great deal more...
I posted a thread about this, which will probably be deleted soon. Whoops.
I can't get over how the audience goes bonkers for Cookie Monster, and is so quiet when Frank is speaking about his puppeteering experiences. I don't know if that audience is being respectful or not by being so silent...
1976, from a show hosted by Peter Gzowski (name unknown).
Interesting to note how the audience loves Cookie to death, but goes silent when Frank is talking. Sheesh. Some audience. But I like how the host feeds Cookie...he's prepared.
Well, I think that was more of a Caroll/Jerry/Richard period. Frank was busy with the beginning of his film directing career, so that's why I think we saw more of Big Bird, Oscar, the Count, Biff & Sully, Forgetful Jones, and other Muppets that were performed by people who were more readily...
Agreed 100%. I think Frank is still one of the best actors in the business today, although ironically we never see him while he's acting. We only see his right hand with a puppet draped over it.
Nonetheless, I think his best work with SS was in the 1970s and in the 1990s, for different reasons...
Happy Birthday Jerry 2.0!
But seriously, thank you Matt for keeping Jerry Nelson's legacy alive! It means so much to us Muppet fans. If it hadn't been for you, we might not have seen the Count, Floyd Pepper, or Lew Zealand for some time. But it's like they've never been away.
:batty:: Ah...
Now that I think about it, I love Frank Oz's main characters from SS: Cookie Monster, Grover, and Bert. I just watched some Cookie videos, and it's truly amazing how Frank effortlessly brings such a charming and conflicted character to life. He knows the true essence of all his characters, and...
Not to mention how incredibly gifted Jeff Moss was as a songwriter. He's also responsible for these gems featuring Jim's characters:
May both of them rest in peace.
And let's not forget this one from the Muppet Show, featuring the fabulous Dr. Teeth! I love how Jim could sing and talk so fast, and add that great comedic touch to whatever he did.
Speaking of fast-talking...
And on a different note, a beautiful rendition of the alphabet with Kermit &...
I've made a Queen playlist. So far, I've listened to these songs:
Don't Stop Me Now
Another One Bites the Dust
Radio Ga-Ga
We Will Rock You
We Are the Champions
Under Pressure (with David Bowie on vocals) ...
and then about 30 other songs in between.
Bohemian Rhapsody is the last tune in the...
Does anyone know if there is video of the "0" skit with Oscar and the Count? I've been dying to see it (and I'm sure other people have been too), but I can't find it anywhere. Please post it when/if it is found. Thanks!
