Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I have recently gotten:
Chicken Run - I like Aardman Animations and the stuff they do and I'd been looking for it for quite a while, plus Meijer only had two copies on the shelf and the disc had come loose in one of them.
Anastasia: 2-Disc Family Fun Edition - It's a fun movie (I think...
That's what I use and they work fine! If you have some of them lying around, go for it! :excited:
Interesting note, you can make the hands move in different ways by not straightening the hangers all the way (just a little quirk I discovered by accident).
And, yeah, if your character doesn't...
Howard The Duck - Because I'm a fan of irreverent 80's movies, and Lea Thompson.
Harry and the Hendersons - I'm a fan of Rick Baker's makeup effects work.
Wallace and Gromit: The Complete Collection - It never occurred to me to look on the kid's shelf for them. (But now I have two Matter of...
*Head explodes at the sheer cuteness of them*
Sorry about that. I'll get a mop.
I might sound a little niave, but who is Brio? I've never heard of her.
I hate to see a good story come to an end.
The climax was rather lackluster, but the ending/beginning was good.
I love Waldo's bit, with the syringe and the stop sign and the cartoon hand.
Then there's the one where one of the main characters gets into a fight with the school bully by, either intentionally or unintentionally, insulting or humiliating him/her. The he/she spends most of the episode:
A. Trying to get out of it
2. Attempting to become a bodybuilder in the course...
Coming from a wannabe director's point of view, that makes sense.
But it would be nice if they hired the Muppeteers for the few number of scenes the characters are needed in (if only so we don't have to suffer through several bad Muppet impressions).
If they don't use the real Muppet performers, at least for voicing purposes, I'm going to be very tick-ed off.
On the other hand, if the actors they get can do the voices right, why not give them a chance?
...you imagine which of the Muppet Show Muppets would take which roles in Fraggle Rock and vice-versa.
...you've ever attached wires to your arms to see how it felt (Get it? FELT! Wocka, wocka!)
Update to my list (like anyone cares what I have to say):
The Muppet Show Seasons 1-3 (I STILL can't wait for four and five :concern:)
ALF Seasons 1-4
Fraggle Rock Season 4
Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series
Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days and a few random specials
Doctor Who: The Complete...
Richfield? On TV? That can't be good!
On another note, you've certainly got the vocie of Ethyl and Baby down to a T (or, tee (or, te (I don't know how that's supposed to be typed))).
...and I wait.
