Exactly my thoughts. This movie looks absolouteley awful. I wrote this one off as soon as I heardvMichael Bay is attached to it. He literally messes up everything he touches. Too bad the turtles were a victim.
You were hoping for more? Seriously, it was amazing that Blind Pew was even in the movie! Like, did they rebuild the Pew puppet? It's incredibly obscure, and we're lucky to get it!
But yeah, a Clueless Morgan cameo would've been awesome too. Get working on that, Disney.
I noticed on the MC Radio there was a song called "Dance With Me Tonight" which was apparently a UK bonus on The Muppets soundtrack. Does anyone have this song?
I agree it sucks. Do you know what I would have done just for this movie to be successful? But it wasn't successful, and it's not the end of the world. We should still expect lots more Muppet things in the future.
Either way, we get that it sucks, but we shouldn't continuously bring up the...
Why do you continuously want people to panic? It's getting me really annoyed. Read my past couple of posts which will re-assure you that this is in no way a franchise killer, whether or not it is a "flop" or not.
To me it looks like you like deciding this is the end of the world and cause...
Bringing some humor to the subject: Jimmy Fallon had a great line about Divergent in his monologue last night.
(quote)
"Divergent was the highest grossing film at the box-office this week with $53 million dollars! Divergent takes place in the bleak, dark future, where apparently no one's...
The Winnie the Pooh thing doesn't really make any sense to me. If you look at the dates, Disney was making tons of Pooh movies back from 2000 to 2005. I guess after they disappeared for a few years they tried to reboot the franchise. Unfortunatley, the reboot movie didn't make the amount of...
I can't stand this anymore. I have to step in and give you guys the facts.
Muppet movies are cheap to make. Look at some of Disney's other franchises. Planes barely made any money, yet two more sequels are on the way. How many Buddies movies have they made by now? Phineas and Ferb? My point...
Extremely overpriced. They make great puppets, but they charge the price it would cost to go to Australia and back twice just for a puppet.
Last week I asked how much it would cost to purchase their Statler and Waldorf set and they told me it would be $5,550 dollars for the set. Other puppets...
Nah. Not expecting much from Noah. It's one of those movies that no one is rushing out to see, and it will face so many issues from the religious groups. Noah won't make too much money.
You know what's kinda annoying? Divergent was picked up in 800 more theaters than MMW. When I called some theaters to find out what the big deal was, they told me that "Disney didn't send them MMW".
unclematt? Never heard of you.
Just kidding! Of course we remember you. What kind of question is that? Welcome back! I hope you stick around a little longer this time.
That's the dumbest thing ever. I can bet you more money is made on Sundays than on Fridays. Everyone is at work on Fridays! Who even goes to movies on a Friday?
Anyway, Disney film distributor David Hollis said a good opening for the movie would've been $20 million, and as of Sunday morning...
Tell me about it! Half of these reviews sounded like they came from people who have no knowledge of the history of the Muppets or even know what style Muppet movies are in general. Some were only familiar with the style of the last movie, which I think was great, but I don't want every future...
Actually, it opened to $29 million, according to Box Office Mojo. Plus, it was the holiday weekend, which is a really busy time at the movies anyway. Who goes to movies on an average day in March? I know I don't, and most people I know don't even have time to go to one, and most parents aren't...
