COLLEGE RANT TIME! Strap on your seat belts, this is an epic one.
Context: I go to college to study music. There was a senior who needed a particular set of drums and instruments for a piece he was working on, and a graduate student in the work study program took his whole rig apart, assuming...
Saw the first (U.S.) trailer, and it looks SUPER-TASTIC. This might be a rare case of a sequel being better than the previous movie installment. MMW appears to be like a post-Jim Henson version of the Great Muppet Caper, and it's about time. I can't wait to see if the long-forgotten Muppets like...
How about the first version of Mr. Snuffleupagus?
I mean…I…I…I……WAAAAAAUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!! (hides behind the couch in fright)
P.S. Thank goodness that his design was changed for season 4.
Welcome to all our newest members! I hope you all enjoy this forum immensely. Just watch out for those weirdos riding motorcycles and the rodents eating all the food.

you learned about nursery rhymes and fairy tales from watching Kermit's News Flashes on Sesame Street
whenever someone asks you about a celebrity, your answer is based on whether you know the celebrity from the Muppet Show or SS (Madeline Kahn, Harry Belafonte, Andrea Martin...
One of the best rock instrumentals EVER. I just listened to Rush's "Subdivisions" and "Ghost of a Chance" yesterday…I forgot how good "Subdivisions" is. I think it's just as good as their other major hits like "Limelight," "Spirit of Radio," and of course "Tom Sawyer."

BRILLIANT. Best SS parody I've seen in ages. I loved the references to Peeta, Finick, and Wiress (the Tick Tock lady). Jennifer Lawrence would love this sketch.
Once again, I'm listening to Sara Bareilles' "Love Song." This must be the third time in a row I've heard it tonight. I know that it's been six years since it came out, and some people might call it an "old" song. But gosh, she has a beautiful voice. To me, this song isn't old, it's "timeless."

The Rolling Stones: "Brown Sugar." Lots of controversial subject matter, but it's a fantastic song with a driving beat and one of Keith Richards's classic guitar riffs. And of course, MICK FREAKING JAGGER. One of the all-time greats.
Most of you are familiar with my Muppet Show outlines and artwork. But since I don't have as much time for that, I am resorting to short poems and haikus (thanks to the MC member who inspired me with her own haiku thread). So we kick off the proceedings with a few haikus about the Muppet...
I'm surprised that good old Sgt. Floyd Pepper hasn't gotten that many mentions. I love how much of an outright wisecracker he is, especially in the Raquel Welch episode, when Fozzie tries to change his attitude and personality.
Kermit: Way to go, that was very cute…sick but cute.
Floyd: Sick but...
I'm not familiar with all of Neil Young's songs, so I can't say anything about it. However, Billy Joel's "Captain Jack" IS pretty depressing, not to mention edgy in a crude way. No other song to my knowledge mentions so many taboo subjects, which I will refrain from discussing here.
In a similar...
Ehhhhh…not really looking forward to this. Lady Gaga is too stiff and can't act to save her life. And dare I say it…the Muppets look too bright and artificial…there just doesn't seem to be that trademark look, that magic touch anymore. It seems like they are putting too much focus and attention...
I remember a lot of these episodes mentioned here, because I was a kid in the 1990s. But here are some that might not have been mentioned that I remember pretty well:
Two episodes where certain letters on the Street go missing. In one, all the T's go missing, so that Telly becomes Elly and...
What a fine collection you have! I love the replicas and the handmade Whatnots, all decked out in those Muppety threads. I'm glad to see Yoda being featured here, as he does have connections to the Muppet family. And that picture of Kermit reading the Jim Henson book is simply brilliant. As...
Most of the ones I like are from Season 2:
The Screaming Thing (Don Knotts)
The telephone (George Burns)
The cow (Dom Deluise)
The shoe (Bernadette Peters)
The Shakespeare tribute (Rudolf Nureyev)
Baskerville the hound (Elton John)
The sketch is done twice (Lou Rawls)
Hawaiian pig (Sylvester...
