Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I honestly don't quite know how this one will play out, only insomuch that Ninjago has been a TV cartoon for some time now. I think that when Lego Batman the movie comes out, film goers will know that there's a clear separation between the constant 2 a year flow of Lego Batman/DC Comics DTV's...
Like I've said dozens of times by now, I doubt we would have had the mockumentary concept if MMW was as successful as the first film. It really seems that those two movies would have otherwise set up a The Muppet Show 201X series that would have been an exact clone of the original show, just...
Other than the fact TMNT and X-Men were basically made to be franchises, they didn't exactly make sequels out of good films this year. Huntsman 2 was unnecessary and made purely out of spite to Kristen Stewart, comedy sequels are either all in or nothing, Zoolander 2 was released opposite a...
I'm more disappointed that, while the show was supposedly successful, Nick really did it's best to sabotage it halfway through second season. It really deserved some sort of merchandising pick up or something. At least they blew through as many episodes as they could last week. I've always...
Somehow, I think he looks like a character straight out of the 1979 Filmation Mighty Mouse show. Mixed ever so slightly with a Whimzey's House puppet.
Still, awesome puppet, terrible puppeteering, expected bad Japanese 1980's studio effects.
I've said it so many times before, but seriously *&%^$ Nostalgia. Look at how nostalgia fans act like spoiled little children when they bring back something they grew up with that somehow was so important to them that the slightest change is worthy of sending death threats to the crew. And...
So the first actual trailer for Trolls popped up...
Yeah.... I think I'll skip this one
It feels like the edgy remake of some long forgotten 1980's Smurfs ripoff. Though, conceptually, it at least looks like a better Smurfs movie than the actual Smurfs movies.
Here's some really bad puppeteer work from a Japanese VHS that's either about how to get high scores in video games or just providing commercials for them...I dunno.
And it sucks because that Puppet is pretty awesome. In the hands of a skilled professional, it would have been quite impressive.
I'm wondering if these guys got caught by now. This was discovered 6 years ago, after all. I'm getting the feeling that either it was at least partially fake or at least impossible to get a handle on since the Internet reviewers would have got their hands on this and chewed it up by now...
There's also going to be a Minecraft movie, but at least there's some story there.
I dunno why they still think this is a good idea. Now, granted, Battleship wasn't exactly a bomb since it did well in countries that didn't know it was a board game and thought it was just another mediocre...
Drumph will say anything to his followers and they'll eat it up because they're...well... the way they are. Drumph is what I like to call an aggressive aggressive. As opposed to a passive aggressive who mumbles crap behind your back when you tick them off, Drumph calls anyone who call him out...
Yeah, but those ones wouldn't exactly like where the third movie was going. And, actually, I think that somewhere on the internet does exist a bunch of fanboys complaining about the third film's "next generation" plotline and the actors in consideration. I don't think they'd even be happy if a...
I stifle to call this a "reboot" rather than what it really is. A soft re-imagining alternate timeline project to fill a hole left by the fact the third movie was in Development Purgatory for so long. I needn't repeat much, since it's all here in this thread if you're willing to go back and...
I was going to post this in the commercial rant thread, but decided the topic would be more appropriate for discussion here without going wildly off topic if anyone bothers to add anything to the conversation.
While I never really snap at movie trailer TV spots, since it's technically not the...
Remember this is for consideration. This means literally nothing beyond that being a guarantee.
Best comedy is going to go to something dramatic on cable or netflix that barely qualifies as comedy.
Seems there's been more information released at a licensing Expo
Plastic Man! YEAH!
Glad to see that, while he was screwed out of his own cartoon, Plas has been seen in more DC animated projects since he appeared as one of the many super hero team ups in Batman: Brave and the Bold. Even...
A major update on the film finally surfaced.Obviously, this movie is going to be all Hollywooded out. It does indeed have the same characters, but witha celebrity voice cast upgrades over the original Canadian voice cast. Thankfully, they're mostly comedians/comedic actors, though...seriously...
