Here's a scene that took place soon before A Wandering Heart. I had a lot in mind for Red, but, well, it didn't fit into the story.

Happy Birthday

Red was awake, and she hurt.
She was lying on her back in her bed on the floor. It was not as comfortable as...
Stanislavsky was a Russian actor who created a "system" of acting based on emotion memory. He taught actors to keep the artistic truth by "experiencing the part" onstage, and to use their own memories to recreate emotions. Which doesn't have a lot to do with the way Junior is, er, paraphrasing...
And because I just can't leave well enough alone, here are a few extras:

Drooptrees/thirsty-twees are willow trees, or close enough. Willow bark contains the chemical salicin, which, when ingested is, metabolized to salycilic acid, the precursor to aspirin. The...

When Boober returned to the castle, Red and Gobo were still trying to free Wembley. Currently they were struggling to remove the heavy cutting board that was atop the cage, blocking its door. It was up to him, then.
He nerved himself. He could barely...
Thanks, guys! I'm glad you're enjoying this so far. Here's the next part:

Soon Junior returned to the kitchen. He looked even more upset. Wembley said, "Not good?"
Junior shook his head. "They look like they're awake and asleep at the same time, and they're all hot with fever...
Thank you. For me, characterization is a sine qua non of a good fic, so it makes me very happy to hear that the characters are coming across well in my stories.
Before I write a scene I watch it in my head, sometimes many times over, letting the characters play around with their lines until...
I would buy "It's Time" or "The Muppies" in a Koozebane minute. The former makes me want to hum "Yakety Sax," better known as the Benny Hill chase music.
After that last fiasco I feel like getting back to basics. What could be more basic than writing a straight-up Fraggle Rock episode? So here we go, complete with commercial breaks. This one is set soon after Change of Address. Hope ya like.

To Serve Fwaggles

I've given in? To what? Should I be alarmed? Will I get cookies?
Thank you. I'm glad you liked this. It was fun to write, believe me. Fraggles just seem to lend themselves to warm, fuzzy stories. I'm now working on another bit featuring Boober and... well, someone else. :excited:
Thanks, Count. Glad you liked it. I've had a frustrating case of writer's block lately. I've got another Muppet Theater story idea I want to start writing, but it just hasn't jelled yet. Sometimes little things like this can loosen me up, so maybe I can get my act together for a real story.
Little scenes often play out in my mind when I'm working on character development, or toying with ideas for a fic, or just mentally messin' around. Many of them end up in stories, but some only exist as vignettes. As I don't consider these full stories, I don't want to start a thread for each...
This past Saturday I debuted the Mosaic shirt when I attended "Henson's Place" at the Center for Puppetry Arts. It got some grins from the people there.
I saw "Henson's Place" at the Center for Puppetry Arts today. I have it on DVD, but I wanted to go with some friends, and there was something irresistible about seeing a Henson documentary with other hardcore Muppet fans.
I arrived early and spent some time in the museum with my sketchbook...
I'm writing a Fraggle fic (as usual), and one question has come up: are Gorgs vegetarians? I don't recall any references to them eating meat of any kind, and in "Mokey's Funeral" Ma tells Junior how terrible it is to kill a living thing. (But she doesn't mind killing toe ticklers. Guess...
I got my shirt yesterday, and I was very pleased. I don't have a photo, as those camera-at-arm's-length shots look goofy. But if I get a non-goofy shot I'll post it.
Study Date: Ah yes, the heart-pounding excitement of study. Well, Scooter's studying; the Fraggle is doing some work-related web research. Rated PG-13 for full pedal nudity.
I doodled this in my sketchbook while waiting for a panel at Dragon*Con. No reference material was on hand, hence the...
I would have cast him as Sakurambo (Cherry) from Urusei Yatsura (Lum, AKA Those Annoying Aliens) but I think people believed it was just a very good Fraggle costume.
And glad you're liking this stuff. I didn't think anyone was reading this thread anymore.
No height requirement for Dragon*Con. There were people of all sizes there, including babies in costumes. I guess they figured he was just another disguised toddler.
