I've been hesitant to come out with this opinion, considering the popular sentiment on this board, but if you guys can forgive me for writing MFS fic you can forgive me for anything.
In the past Kermit and Piggy's relationship has irked me. The idea that someone can just claim someone else...
I just saw it a second time, and have a few more thoughts...
Walter's talent wasn't quite as out-of-left-field as I thought. He also whistled when he was helping fix up the theater. And I should have twigged when I saw that the puppet was built to purse his lips. Yeah, I think that way. Did...
My list:
The Muppet Movie
The Muppets
Muppets From Space
The Great Muppet Caper
The Muppets Take Manhattan
The Muppet Christmas Carol
Muppet Treasure Island
Yeah, I liked Muppets From Space. Statistically speaking, there has to be some oddball who enjoyed it, and that's me. What I don't...
The modem gag was good--and, guess what, I'm on dialup, so I hear that sound every day! Not that loud, though. It should have taken '80s Robot the better part of a day to locate even one Muppet, though, as modems typically ran at 300 baud back then. I'm ooooold enough to remember being able...
I don't know if there's anything typical about Gonzo, but, yeah, he dotes on the little birdie. I've been trying to age her forward for the next story, and at the moment I have no idea what she'll look like once she sheds that fuzz.
Hello, Everybodeee! - I was in the mood to draw something, so here's Gonzo and his daughter Billie from chapter 7 of Masks, a fanfic I wrote earlier this year. I drew it quickly, and as a result Gonzo's nose is a little weirder than usual and Billie has an extra finger on one hand. Maybe she'll...
Thank you! Yes, I do use a tablet, although I haven't been using it all along. I got a Wacom Bamboo around... oh, I think April or May o'clock, and it's made a huge amount of difference. Not only does my art look better because it's like working with a pen rather than pushing a bar of soap...
Thanks, Puckrox! This was one of my favorite moments too. (But then, half the movie was favorite moments.) I kinda wish the Muppets were covering it, but it made sense for them to just put in an album. Hmm, maybe '80s Robot had it in his 8-track player.
When this comes out on DVD I'll get...
Scooter, Pushbroom Hero: There was something ludicrously fun about seeing the Muppets rockin' out to We Built This City as they cleaned up the theater. And with Scooter using the handle of his pushbroom as a mic, well, I couldn't resist.
Scooter's hair looks kind of like a handful of Cheetos.
According to the junior novelization, Gonzo would have done it in a heartbeat, except his money was in the building he'd destroyed about 43 second beforehand.
Lanford is sessile, but he has a long enough stalk to give him some reach. And he certainly is well equipped to bite and capable of swallowing, showing that he does eat. It would make no sense for him to eat other plants, as he'd soon clear the area around himself and then starve. I'd guess...
Yes, I liked that scene too. I was looking at the various positions the characters were sleeping in. Fozzie tucked in with his teddy bear, Scooter flopped out on his stomach... Gonzo Hefnering it up in the hen roost...
I would have liked to see more of Gonzo too, but, despite being a huge fan of the weirdo, I didn't really miss him. This was an ensemble pic, and I loved seeing EVERYBODY onscreen, interacting just as they should rather than the top six merchandisable characters getting 80% of the screentime.
One thing that's surprised me from the very beginning is the inclusion of Crazy Harry, especially in such a prominent role. You know how highly people regard nutjobs who blow things up? I'm surprised that Disney didn't say "This guy's gonna remind people of terrorists. Let's leave him out."...
Thog being unable to get through the center arch, heh heh. The lack of a drummer to set the pace really messed 'em up. It made it all the more wonderful when Animal came back to his drums at the end of "The Rainbow Connection."
When I saw them linking hands, it touched me a little. It was...

'80s Robot. I just didn't see the point of the character. Who built him? Why? The only funny thing about him was the sodas on his tray and his modem gag. If Kermit was supposed to be in a mental time warp to the days of TMS, fine, but he wasn't. He'd let go of...
Actually, it looked to me like there was a crotch-wallop when Jack Black was captured, but because of the angle it wasn't that obvious. I'd have to see it again to be 100% sure, though.
