Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Puckrox - Glad you liked the sandwich gag. You'd think that Brian would find another way to communicate that doesn't interrupt lunch. Maybe someone has an ouija board.
Ruahnna - Now I'm gonna have to try peanut butter and pickles. If it turns out nasty, I'm gonna come after you.
Ozymandias...
At least Piggy's getting his name right now. She saw it printed in the script. (Lots of people call him "Yankovitch", which it was a few generations back on his father's side.)
People actually eat PB and pickles? Eww. And here I thought I was being all weird and stuff. Originally it was PB and...
Santa Claus, a Mexican film in which Santa battles a demon who is trying to get children to do evil. It is amazingly, wonderfully freaky, and made for a great MST3K episode.

Weird Al heard a knock at the dressing room door, and called, "Come in."
Miss Piggy, dressed in cornflower satin, swept in. When she caught sight of Al she said, "Oh, excuse me, Moi was looking for Monsieur Yankovic."
"That's...
I'm looking for a few beta testers for something that involves fanfic and fan art. If you can view a 1 MB PDF and provide feedback by tomorrow evening--that's Tuesday, 12/20/2011--please IM me.
Oh, where to start...
In Playing Till it Hurts Boober is in medic mode, and actually brings Red momentarily to heel. I love the scene in which he loses his temper at her.
In Boober's Dream we meet his alter ego, Sidebottom. Sidebottom is Boober's repressed fun side. We see how goofy Boober...
...Aaaaand here's the last pic for that dadblamed project. Not a moment too soon!
Taking the Radishes for Walkies: Poor radishes. They're rooted to the ground and can't see the world. Fortunately, Fraggles are kind and sensitive enough to take pity on the poor things and talk them on...
Have I mentioned that Boober is fun to draw?
Boober's Bad Dream - Nightmares are never pleasant experiences, but Boober can take some comfort in the knowledge that his baloobius is in fine working order.
I tweaked the shading technique on his hair and baloobius so it doesn't look quite so messy.
The Count: An actual update, as opposed to an ersatz update? And Bo could take Al backstage, I'm sure. In TGMC Bo claimed he could only go as far as the lobby, but then he drove right through the kitchen.
Ruahnna: Yes, Fozzie really is sweet. He doesn't shine as bright as the other...
Oziana 2011--the latest edition of the International Wizard of Oz Club's annual literary magazine--is out, and I'm one of the illustrators. Ain't that awesome? If you want to see the awesomeness first hand, you can get a copy right over here.
The theme of that song struck a chord with Janken when he watched that episode on DVD, and you didn't have to be a Silly Creature to understand it, so he had to bring it back to Fraggle Rock.

It was a normal, sunny, mild day, bereft of darkness or storminess. It was also the day before Friday, which is to say Thursday, thus they had one more day to rehearse before the weekend shows. Lew Zealand were doing just that...
*laughs* having grown up in a musical family, I lose track of what is common knowledge and what is obscure. I guess the colloquial name for an ocarina falls into the latter category.
Fraggles love radishes. They've built an entire cuisine around 'em. They do eat other things--grains and...
For pure cuteness, Wembley wins. He's sweet-tempered, upbeat, silly, honest, enthusiastic, and generally winsome. Plus, he has a nifty shirt and a funky scat and a hairdo that looks like an explosion. Boober is a close second, but his appeal is that he's not attractive and fun and all that...
Thanks, glad you like my art. For the base drawing I use 2H pencils and Sakura brush pens on thick, bright white copy paper. I scan that into Photoshop (5.5, which is ooooold but who can afford to upgrade?) and paint it up with a Wacom Bamboo tablet.
And here's another pic that I've worked on...
Thank you! And, yes, Janken and Scooter are roughly the same size, although not the same shape. But Janken's a little taller than the average Fraggle. He's only a little shorter than Mokey.
I never know which details people will grab onto, heh.
To be fair, we only know that Kermit and Piggy weren't called, but Fozzie and Scooter were. The jury's out on everybody else.
