I've always felt since MTI that these days the Muppets are often TOO well made, TOO perfect. There's none of the "live in" feel that you get from some of the old ones. I can see why that is, since now people have so much more access to them...and who wants to see felt wearing away or missing fur...
Of course my article is totally overshadowed by the awesomeness that is the NEW MUPPET TRAILER!
How can anyone concentrate on art analysis when they have a trailer to analyze?
Yeah...see, what I'm wondering is whether the media attention, etc, is really being garnered from this being a unique return of the Muppets...Disney will have to work to keep them interested once its over. I'm sure they can, but they'll need to keep up the originality and the use of multi-media...
Nothing to add, but I always think this thread is addressed to me when I see it...Pfft.
Oh! Actually, there was one joke that took me years to hear which is "My frog turned on me..." "I had some bad tuna myself..." Haha! Nice.
Haha! Yes, obviously more merchandise. I was really thinking about what movie could be next. I think the closest that we have to a comedy-troupe who do different movies and play similar characters these days is the Judd Apatow gang.

But something I've been wondering is, what will be next for them?
Will people...
Thanks for sharing! The image of Piggy slamming her head on a desk (and the whole feel of the trailer you've described) reminds me of the British ad for the first three Muppet movies which had loads of short clips, my favorite of which was Piggy throwing her portfollio in the air from GMC.
Don't lurk...Hang out with me! I'm in the same boat (not literally...I'm not Closer than you think, the Muppets are) but, all us Brits have to wait for Valentines' before we get to see it! I just CANNOT imagine how I will be able to do it!
Pepe for the win!
I mean *ahem* I'm sure that Pepe will have some sort of role, even if he's not actively in the movie, he will certainly be involved in the making-of's, 'Pepe's studio' style stuff and in the promotion in some way.
I'm really interested to know, is Topo Sticky in this film!
I'm sure the trailer will appear (officially) online pretty soon after its premiers with the movie. Don't they usually go up the same day to avoid copying?
