I miss 2004, so many fond memories from that year, I also miss friends the tv show and I also miss the days of having no responsibilities, y'know when you could just waste the day with your best friends just jammin and making new tunes which you thought were great but actually weren't lol.
But that's equally why we love him lol oh and he does get his comeuppance quite a lot like in cartmanland and casa Bonita to name a few, but to answer your question, no he is not the protagonist he is just the main character of the show (well 1 of 4). But back on topic I really couldn't stand...
That's true and yeah I suppose no one wants to see piggys angry eyes ever again, but maybe S and W actually like the songs as they are insanely old music hall songs so statler and Waldorf were probably around when they were first released and just like that kind of music.
and yeah thinking...

I think he was being sarcastic, but yeah your right pigs in space is not exactly the most well known things from TMS, and like vets hospital it got mentioned once only in the new films which just solidifies the point really.
To be fair though they are 2 of the 3 main characters from the last movie and 2 of the main characters overall so it does kinda make sense to use them a lot more then any other muppet.
Would be amazing but my only worry is that would they have enough material to keep an episode going for 25 minutes? I think the reason why pigs in space is so brilliant is because it's so short and sweet and stretching it out might ruin the 'novelty' per say.
I can see what you mean, they don't address each other that much
They also somewhat interact in the dom deluise episode after piggy sings don't dilly dally.
Top ten: pointless things I've bought
10. A 1980s Mr frosty, turns out they are still useless even in 2014
9. My brothers arsenal kit, ripped after like 5 minutes
8. The hobbit 2 on DVD, one of the most boring and incessantly long films I've had to endure
7. Emirates stadium tour ticket, they...
Yeah that's another one, rowlf seems to only interact with piggy of the main group even then it's not too often, otherwise he seems to get left out of things a lot for some reason which is a shame as I think he has so much more to offer.
