I think the point we're ALL clear on is that Scooter is a nerd/geek and the world is NOT ignorant of his talent! Luckily, he comes back to help the technolgy-challenged Kermit deal with all that needs to be dealt with.
Curse you, dratted typos! That is supposed to be "employer." The man who is going to deliver the package hefted it to gauge what he thought was in it. It felt empty, and when he asked what was in the package he got an evasive answer, so he opened it to look. The item he was supposed to deliver...
Throughout the movie "Labyrinth," (which is a wonderful, evocative Henson tale), the protagonist Sarah keeps having small victories which she immediately becomes arrogant about. She usually says, "Piece of cake," to indicate how easy she thinks things are going to go from that point on. Saying...
If there is, I haven't discovered it. There might be muppet archivists/hoarders out there who have it on VHS or on transcript, but not everyone is generous with their collection. I don't know if there's any way to put out an all-call to muppet fans, but if they really are a muppet fan and they...
Chapter 105: “4Rms Rvr View”
(It's actually "6 Rms Rvr View"--artistic license)
“Hey—I want to commend you on the job you did in the bathroom,” said a portly rat in a service-station attendant’s shirt that said, “Harve.”
Scribbler looked up from his cold pizza and warm ale...
Chapter 104: “What You Don’t Know About Women” (from the musical City of Angels)
Practice was better the next day. She and Rory had reached a truce of sorts and they were currently getting curious and sometimes envious looks from the other dancers when they cut a rug in the dance numbers or...
Um, disclaimer time.
Mr. Curry--darling Tim Curry--I adore you! I think your work is lovely and wonderful! Please (please please) don't sue me for using a fictionalized version of you in my story.
The Good Morning America skit was funny. I don't know if I'd classify it as "dirty" but it was suggestive. Piggy tells Kermit that he left his socks over at her place. "Putting your shoes under somebody's bed" is a emphemism for sleeping with them (which is also a emphemism, but I'll stop...
Luckily, none of us have to depend on our memory about what Kermit and Piggy actually said or did--it's all on film. And while there is certainly room for interpretation about exactly how much and when and what episode, etc., it is not at all ambiguous that there was a romantic relationship...
Yes, Kermit did often flirt with the female guest stars. Piggy flirted with most of the male ones. In a non-frog/pig world--who cares? But the fact that Kermit did it specifically to get Piggy's goat, and that Piggy reciprocated ferociously tells you that it wasn't just for grins and giggles...
I would recommend watching the first season (and all the others! LOL!) again. (Who even NEEDS a reason--right?) Kermit is smitten with Piggy (or at least overwhelmed!) from the first episode when she steps out of the chorus in Temptation, kisses him, and then declares herself "a liberated...
Welcome, Randall, to the conversation. I, too, thought Kermit was written better in this movie than in some previous post-Henson appearances, the best of which, IMNTBHO, is IAVMMC--at least as far as Kermit-ness goes. But I think you are mistaken. All the "let's make fun of Piggy" stuff pretty...
Um, yes actually. Quite a number of folks will get comp tickets for services rendered. Marty & Scooter both know how to grease (!) the right palms, and don't forget their friends--especially those who have been friends in deed...
Cute story! I liked that you thought up a viable reason for Camilla to be absent, and that Gonzo and Camilla think up a suitably fun way to banish the "lonelies."
Hi BBF--congratulations on your first story here at MC. Here are a few comments about your story, because I know that it is hard to post a story and not get any comments back.
I liked that you included Jim and Frank in the story as well. Every author who writes muppet fiction has to decide...
Chapter 103: Now Playing: RENT
“It’s not much to look at, and I wouldn’t exactly recommend this part of town,” Tim said uncertainly. “I mean, I don’t know if this is a safe place for a lady.”
Piggy stilled his protests with a snort and looked him up and down. “If it’s safe for you, it’s safe...
Mary, Mary, quite necessary
I can't think of any actress better suited to play in a muppet movie than Amy Adams. She's in lots of movies because she's good--not because she's not picky. That said, I think she had a difficult role to carry off, and that she did it with grace and aplomb. She...
I probably would have enjoyed your review, but unfortunately the videos that were setting up beside it weren't the kind of thing I normally want to see. Is there anyway to see it without such...objectionable video company?
Just a quick point--and I know I don't have to sell anyone here on it:
Most of us will go to see The Muppets more than once. That won't happen with people taking children to kiddie movies. So, don't feel guilty for going more than once--think if it as doing your part to help the economy!
