Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
The only time I watched the super bowl was last year for the muppet, charlie brown, and seinfeld commercials. There is no reason for me to watch it this year, because football is not my favorite sport, though I wonder how large the ratings will be this year, though probably more than anything...
The Wizard is a funny episode, especially the Kramer montage when he is trying to become president, which is always something that makes anyone laugh hard.
At least TMS got season set releases, even if they were not all the seasons. There was a time when three episodes on a VHS tape cost more than twenty bucks, but we get seasons on DVD with special features with the same amount. In my opinion, season two and three are much better than season four...
They really thought they were going to get renewed. Though the secret mission song was pretty funny, and Galavant and King Richard are such a great duo, I still would have wanted an ending, and what the heck happened to Sid, what was the point of that, the character has not done much since the...
TV-Y7-FV, TV-Y, or TV-Y7 are only for kid shows that air on Qubo, PBS, Nick, or channels like that. TMS would most likely get a TV-G rating like most classic shows like The Brady Bunch, TV-Y7 is out of the question, but TMS is rated TV-PG in the UK, well at least for TMS season 2, and the others...
One thing I would really want is some syndication channel to air it with all the classic shows. Then I could tape some of the episodes from seasons 4 and 5, and I would get to see what TMS is rated on TV. I would expect a TV-G rating, but it is possible that some episodes with a lot of violence...
It's not like much money was lost, even when MFS bombed extremely hard, the muppets were all over the place, so if this was not really a flop, then I doubt we would not see anymore new material with them even if it is just late night or talk show appearances.
I watched TMS episode 213 yesterday, and the UK spot was Something's Missing. I have seen this episode before, but this time I found it odd how at the beginning the man sings about a tricycle, and at the end he has a love intrest. It feels really weird. Another weird thing is this is one of the...
One thing I liked about MT was how it tried to be more adult, which is what I always like in the muppets, I loved the show, I get the hate, but it matters little to me I just like the show. I really do not know what would happen in a new muppet show, but one thing that would not work these days...
Though, that terrible show that I used to like that airs after it got renewed even though it was only supposed to be eight episodes, but it got better ratings than Galavant sadly. Well, tonight is the finale, hope it is good. The only part I like about Galavant being over is that I can watch...
Other best moments of mine include.
The Cafe - Babu scenes
The Strike - The Festivus part
The Soul Mate - Jerry chasing Newman montage
The Little Kicks - Most of the episode
The Clip Show Part 2 - That nice montage of the characters and behind the scenes stuff, really touching
The Chinese...
Well, sadly the ratings for Galavant fell a lot, it will probably be cancelled unless the finale can get better ratings. Anyways, back to the reason this thread was made, looking backing at Work It, the trailers on Youtube, I really do not understand why I who was a ten year old at the time...
It really is annoying what the average person think of the muppets which is cute and cuddly. People saw like one muppet movie, probably MCC, and thought they were sweet little things that have adorable little lives. This image will never be erased, as long as the muppets are puppets, they will...
It could be a sitcom, not the family type, but the Seinfeld, Friends, How I Met Your Mother type with four friends except not as adult, but still adult enough to be on primetime. It could have Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, and Miss Piggy as the main characters, and the other muppets as supporting...
Ya, MT was like the younger sibling of TMS who thought they had to be like TMS to be successful. Still though, MT had nothing going for it. Bad timeslot, unrecognizable characters which is the big one, because people saw little of Kermit and Miss Piggy, and they rest which is who they want to...
Well he basically is the only one who handles his chain, so he is basically like his owner, none of the others really talk to Animal besides Dr. Teeth in TMM in one scene.
I really think a muppet sitcom could thrive on network TV. All everyone ever says is that they need to bring back TMS. This is not just hardcore fans, this is everyone everywhere, they just want it. If it aired on Sundays at 8pm on ABC it would work really well, and could be really big. Though...
I was thinking they meant a new muppet TV show or new muppet viral videos. I really want to see either one or both, especially a show that airs on ABC or another major network.
