Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
First, I am sorry that you lost your mother. Second, I think that is an outrageous comparison to make. I know that Sesame Street is very much intertwined with your life, but at the end of the day, you are not the show's target demo. This is not worth getting that upset over. Perhaps maybe take...
My sentiments, exactly! They'll happily show all the other prototype Muppets, but Pre-Kevin Clash Elmo appears to be off-limits. Even in the official press releases, they only acknowledge Elmo as having been around since 1984, as if they prior four years don't count.
Back when the humans were as valued as the Muppets, they made several book appearances, the vast majority of which were during the 1970s and '80s. However, by the 1990s, they pretty much stopped featuring them in books altogether, only making very rare appearances. To put it in hindsight, 19 of...
Kids have always preferred the Muppet to humans. The whole reason why the Muppets were integrated into the street scenes was because they were bored with just the humans. Yes, they did once play a bigger part in the show than they do now, but keep in mind, they were doing over 1000 shows a...
I mean, Rocket Power definitely wasn't one of Nickelodeon's best, but I did get a kick out of the random background gags that occurred out of nowhere. Of course, I can think of a lot worse things than Rocket Power, like users who impersonate real-life people or fake announcements for reboots of...

There's nothing wrong with being fixated on something you enjoy. Of course, you should not be fixated to a point where it becomes problematic for yourself and the people around you.
I can't see any of the iconic Muppets being phased out. They're more likely going to be reduced to having occasional and/or online exclusive appearances. However, there's a very good chance they're going to cut back on much of the human cast.
I feel like you could've condensed this post into one or two sentences, but to answer your question, I don't know, but it's not keeping me up at night.
The thing that really gets to me about this situation is how this is will hurt the entire Muppet fandom. Like, I know one bad apple can't define a fandom, but I worry that that might actually happen.
Yeah, I'm not a roller coaster person, so this kind of sucks there won't be a Muppet attraction that I'll be able to go on. Also, I have a feeling that this definitely was not in the works when the rumors initially spread of Muppet Vision closing. This seems like Disney's attempt to not make the...
