Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I think it was an intentional artistic experiment. Can we make a character who lacks something basic in our understanding of a person's feelings, and still have their emotions 'read' to the audience solely through performance and characterization?
This goes back to the 'less is more' axiom...
Okay, thanks for the info, guys. I'm still not finding any pics of them online, so if someone can point me to any, that would be cool.
Oh well, if there's no Bert, I'll just go back to posing those B&E bendems with the Palisades stuff. They're slightly smaller than this Ernie, but at least...
I must have large hands... he's actually 5 and a half inches tall. Too big for a restaurant premium.
Here's another pic with some Palisades Muppet Show figures for reference...
What about this look?

You could probably achieve it with an EB variant of the Series One Piggy.

Hello all,
A few years back, I picked up this Ernie toy at a flea market...

... but I have no idea what company made him, what...
I normally only skim through Muppet fanfic for a few lines before discovering something that feels out-of-character, but this one held my interest all the way to the end.
I'm also a real stickler for grammar and spelling, and I love the fact that you took the time to be precise with this...
I knew it! I just had a feeling in my bones that the Treasure Keeper auction that disappeared was part of the pirate-y goodness you mentioned ordering.
Actually, I had contacted that seller about combined shipping for the Treasure Keeper, the Captain, and the Buccaneer that he had listed as...
Plus it's sorta modular...

The above shot shows the optional 'cave' mountain piece. You may also notice that there are more craters...
New diorama - Koozebane
The idea for this whole diorama began with the five Merdlidops seen in the Dom Deluise episode. Once I had amassed enough Koozebane Kermit bases to detach five identical large Merdlidops, I started in the center by making these craters...
Gah! I bet you're the one who bought that Park-Pirates "Treasure Keeper" figure I had my eye on.
LOL, I should have kept my big mouth shut over in Bellygrub's Jules Verne thread!

Couple of extra pics of Piggy in proper Great Muppet Caper surroundings...
This is an alternate 'what if?' scene from Great Muppet Caper, where the real Lady Holliday's jewels don't get stolen, and the fake Lady Holliday gets to continue her date with Kermit...
Do all four of those links work? They just seem to open blank white pages for me.
Thanks for always checking in on this thread, Lamango.
Now that Piggy is done, I'm about to start some Link Hogthrob customs... one is a commission, one is a clone of the commission for myself, and the third...
Finally finished my custom commission of Miss Piggy in the dress she wears at the Dubonnet Club in GMC...

Those are real feathers on...
Oh, of course not. I've just been watching it a lot lately while working on a custom figure commission of Piggy in her Dubonnet Club dress.
Actually, the visibly seamed sky creates a neat link to the Bohemian Rhapsody video... when one of the explosions goes off, you can see the fabric...
Something else funny about the Mallory Gallery... when the Muppets are on the 'roof', look closely at the black sky... it's a cloth backdrop with a visible seam at times.
Dearth
Hey, is it just me, or do these security panels from the Mallory Gallery not look a lot like recycled Death Star control panels?

No one bid on it. That's odd.
Actually, I have a lot of questions about this piece.
If the puppet was indeed made by Jim in 1978, when was the pedestal made?
Because that ped.'s collage art includes an image of Kermit as Bruce Springsteen parodying the cover of Born in the USA (1984), as...
