Is Sesame Street becoming the Sweet Pickles of the 2000s?
I've noticed that this past season, there were only 26 episodes-one for each letter of the alphabet. Is Sesame Street becoming the Sweet Pickles books of the 2000s?
I'm not really sure, but maybe it was that the workshop started to do more than TV, and their prime focus has been Sesame Street. The name was changed after Dragon Tales had been on air one year.
Another clip with Mona Lisa
I read in the book, "Sesame Street Unpaved" about a clip entitled, "Still Life With Oscar" and in a picture of the clip, the Mona Lisa is in the backdrop.
Ah, so you like the episodes that remind me of Nuts to Nightingale, Stork Spills the Beans, Fish and Flips, and Elephant Eats the Profits. (See my episode list.)
Well, what is it about 26 episodes now?
Yes, I know 26 is the minimum number of episodes they can have. But what is it that is making Sesame Street have so little episodes?
I saw it in a related episode
I was not surprised to see the Alligator King in a season 31 episode in which after reading a story about a king, Telly decides he wants to be the king of Sesame Street. The letter of the day was K and the number of the day was 7.
Having 26 episodes for 26 letters of the alphabet reminded me of the Sweet Pickles
Have you ever noticed that there were 26 episodes-each brought to you by a different letter of the alphabet? It feels like those Sweet Pickles books with 26 titles and 26 characters-one for each letter of the...
Another think I'd like to see
I'd also like to see
*More Mysterious Theater
*More Sherlock Hemlock(maybe if Journey To Ernie will stay, they should throw him in there)
*More Furry Arms Hotel
I saw Sonny Friendly on episode 3911
Sonny Friendly was on episode 3911(Season 31) in which Prairie Dawn comes to a birdketeer meeting, and Sonny Friendly comes to host one of the games, "What's Prairie's Problem?" in which everybody has to guess what Prairie's problem is-and Prairie wins with...
Why Guy maybe hasn't been replaced
Well, maybe they haven't had need yet for Guy Smiley. I think the only reason Kermit got replaced by Steve Whitmire was because he was being used as news reporter in the, "Slimey in Space" episodes which were made in 1998. So maybe if they do an episode in...
Oh, I also forgot
Also, I hope next season lasts longer than this past season. 26 episodes was too little for me! In fact, since there were only 26 episodes, I got myself into other shows!
Here are all the clips I'd like to see
Next season, I'd like to see all of the following classic clips:
It's Hip To Be a Square
Martian Beauty #9
Alligator King #7
Penny Candy Man #8
Animated clip about "I'm a chair"
Animated clip in which a personified pencil writes, "DANCE" on the beach...
Here's what I'd want
I'd settle for a tape or DVD of all the Kermit the Frog news flashes, or Sesame Street game shows(especially with Guy Smiley), or Monsterpiece Theater episodes.
I liked episode 4037-in fact, I have a spinoff of it
I made a spinoff of episode #4037. Instead of Super Grover's cape, it is about a Saugus, MA principal's ties. Here is how my story goes:
Mr. Tanen's tie is so stained that Mr. Apple, the superintendent won't allow it, so all the kids and...
Another detail they could have used
You know, maybe the finale of that episode could have been that after Telly decides to keep Clark and has rescued him from being given away, he could have set up a foundation in his house for all the rest of the toys that remind him of when he was a baby...
Some Harvey Kneeslapper skits
Here are some skits I've heard about:
B: Harvey: Do you know where I wanna "B"?
AM: No.
Harvey: I wanna "B" right here!(slaps B on AM's shirt) Hee hee hee hee!
2: AM: That's a neat pogo stick. Can I try it?
Harvey: Do you want to?
AM: Sure...
Did anybody catch episode 4009 in season 33 in which Susan and Miles are putting things together for a clothing drive and Telly brings out a box of things from when he was a baby, including his toy horse Clark, which brings back so many memories that Telly can't decide whether or not to give...
I love that song! It sounds like a country song. And it also teaches a great lesson about the "dangers" of being greedy. The guests who enter Bert and Ernie's house represent the things greedy people get and want. Sometimes it's best to be happy with only one-or two. But adding and adding until...
