Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Well........ from what I have been seeing in the description of this item, I have a feeling it will be more like "Jim Henson: The Works", rather than "Sesame Street Unpaved". It says that the focus is on the development of the show rather than just being mostly scripts and song lyrics like...
I got anaother set
Well I just bought the first volume of the black and white Mickey Mouse. I'll definately open it as soon as it comes in in the next week or two. :coy: Just remember, even if you do open your set, if you still save the tin and certificate of authenticity, it will still be...
How many of you guys out there enjoy nostalgia? How many of you also enjoy the early work of Walt Disney? About a year ago, I started collecting some of the Walt Disney Treasures limited edition box sets that were first realeased in 2001. I am always searching for new copies, but only if they...
The only downside about this release is that it is scheduled to hit bookstore shelves on December 26th, the day after Christmas. It would be easier to bring it out before the holiday and recieve it as a gift. On the other hand, I can use the money that I recieve from relatives to purchase that...
Yeah, I think Bean and ;) would probably make a great duo. Scooter seems a lot more mature than bean, so it would have been funny to see them socialize.
Hi ya'll. I'm trying to find the week long episodes of the Mike Douglas show from June 19th, 1966 when the Muppets appeared.:search: If anyone has them and is willing to trade, please let me know or email me at pns1@comcast.net. Thanx. :insatiable:
This is definately going to be a great Christmas this year. First they do a book for Fraggle Rock :smirk: , now they are doing one for Sesame Street :insatiable: . I only have one question. Eill the book be something like Unpaved, full of pictures and rare behind the scenes photos, or will it...
I think I know how one might be able to acquire the special, yet it is a risky situation and does involve copyright laws. The University of Maryland's Henson library has the special on their computers, right? I also belive that they may have the special available for students to borrow on DVD-R...
It would be interesting to have the audio to them. Maybe we can convince both VEE Corp. and SW about putting that into consideration since the shows have been so successful over the years. They could release them on compast disc, completely restored and unedited if that's possible. They could...
i think that the University of Maryland has some of the original scripts and such to the shows in the CTW Archives, and I think that there is more memoribilia at one of the universities in Texas. Has anyone ever been there and seen that stuff? :smirk:
This is kind of a weird topic to bring up, but I was curious about it anyway. Does anyone know if the original audio track recordings or photos of the Sesame Street Live shows still exist from the first shows:
-The Case of the Missing Rara Avis
-Big Bird's Super Spectacular Totally Amateur...
Gosh. Som any clips that I have never seen or knew of before. Where did you find these? maybe you should show these to Sesame Workshop and see if they can post some of them on their video site. Other than that, those are very interesting. :super: :batty: :insatiable:
I don't think that we really have to worry about any edits for this set like there were for the first season. Season 2 didn't have anything cut out, except the Elton John episode had that extra U.K. skit put in there :smirk: . Anyway if we try to keep a positive attitude about this next season...
That's pretty neat :super: :insatiable: :batty: . I would love to see video clips and photos from the following shows:
-Big Bird's Super Spectacular Totally Amateur Show (1981)
-Sesame Country(1982)
-Around the World (1983)
-The Muppet Show on Tour (1984)
-The Muppet Show on Tour (2nd...
I don't think that we really have to worry about Sesame Workshop realeasing only the season premieres for the box sets.:wisdom: They respect some of those highlights very much, so the fact that they wouldn't realease them at all is dishonest. :p
