Hi,
I was just curious, so I thought that I would bring this up.Whatever happened to the tape trading section that was on the website here on Muppet Central before it moved over here to the forum? Why was it removed also? Thanks :)
Actually, I've been trying to contact Kermiclown about these shows. I've already sent him two emails, but I have not heard from him at all yet. I just hope he's not too tired of trading with me (we've been doing it together for a year or so now).
Well here's some stuff that I would like to find now:
-This Way to Sesame Street
-John Denver & The Muppets: Rocky Mountain Holiday (unedited)
-The Cube
-The Julie Andrews Show (Muppet Appearance)
-Julie Andrews: My Favorite Things
-Julie Andrews: One Step Into Spring
-A Walking Tour of...
I'm definately going to have to say Big Bird, mainly because he is the kind of child we wish we all were during our youth. Bert and Ernie are also on my top three list. The chemistry between those two is just priceless. Of course, I have lots of other favorites. But these three are at the top...
Once again, I am trying to expand my Henson video library, and I am now in search of these:
-This Way to Sesame Street (1969)
-John Denver & the Muppets: Rocky Mountain Holiday (1983)
-The Cube (1969)
-The Julie Andrews Show (1973 appearance)
-Julie Andrews: My Favorite Things (1975)...
Well the Muppet Wiki has a great article about the appearances from '66. There are even some screen caps not just from the one opening with Kermit and the Monsters, but other skits as well. I hope someone has a copy that they would be willing to trade. I have lots of stuff to offer.
I know that I already posted a thread similar to this one about a year ago, but I thought that I would just bring the subject up again. I'm trying to find some copies of the week-long appearances that Jim Henson and the Muppets did in July of 1966 on the Mike Douglas Show. I've noticed that...
I'll get the links up as soon as I can. Marty has been a terrific guy since we first started keeping in contact. He has definately become one of my biggest supporters in my destiny. Of course, since he and Annie are going to be expecting twins in March I believe, I porbably on't get to talk with...
Lot's of great classic clips on this website. Here's some more stuff that I hope to see on there in the near future:
-Grover's Near & Far (1969 version)
-First & Last (1969 version)
-Three Monsters (1970)
-The Sound Box (1971)
-Above & Below in Grover's Airplane (1971)
-Addition &...
That's all right Kiki. The way I see it, there's bound to be a copy of that show somewhere. If someone had it posted on youtube a few years ago, that definately means that it's floating around. We should try to find someone who does have it or even see if they make copies on eBay like they did...
The worst part of it is that I used cash for this guy. Live and learn is what the lesson is. I guess I'm only going to have to trade with people I've worked with before. Thanks for telling me all this.
FatBlueMuppet said that he has the special. I have sent him my part of the trade two weeks ago, but I hope that he has not forgotten since he has not been on the forum since 1/27/09. Hope I hear from him soon.
We should probably ask Sesame Workshop if there is anything in the works for it right now. I just hope the warning labels about the discs being for grownups don't slow down the process. Oh well..... thank God for online tape trading.
Well it all goes back to July 2007. My parents let me go to one of the national puppet festivals that was being done in St. Paul Minnesota. Since I am very interested in puppetry, especially Muppet-style, I thought that this would be an excellent opportunity to get a hands-on approach to the...
I'm so upset that I missed it, I could just cry.:sympathy: Oh well.... at least I got to visit the set last April, so that's better than nothing. ;)
