Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
(1 and 2) Two AMs (Jerry Nelson and Louise Gold) sing about how, whenever they try holding hands, something always comes between them.
(3) It's good, but seldomly used.
(4) Two AM ballerinas, an AM high school marching band, a round, striped alien (who never appeared in any other segments...
Actually, Jerry's played Frazzle from 1971 to 2001. The "Furry Arms" appearance was the only time I've heard Marty as Frazzle. (He's also been played by Frank Oz once in 1974, for the "Dialing for Prizes Movie" game show.)
Not only that, but a cow walked onto the city side. :D
This clip could be found in two Noggin shows: 1091 and 3156 (unless they edited it from this show; I don't have the Noggin version).
Those smileys are great, but there's one problem; all the current smileys on MC have either a facial expression or some other marks to accent their use.
P.S.: I'd also love to see a Wembley smiley. :)
I've got many of these.
Lucky you sent me a PM about more clips. :)
I've got:
sketch with 30 yellow dots.
letter I with that professor type with the Jerry Lewis type voice (glavin!!)
One for the fiddle (aka "Octopus One-Man Band")
Never Leap on a Lying Leopard.
Mad painter 1,2,5,8,9...
Maybe, maybe not. While Charlie has never been seen, he's been referenced to in many sketches, sort of like Mr. Shimmelfinney from FR.
Also, Alejandro can be seen. He's a small pink AM with brown hair and moustache. He drives the cars Grover calls for.
I'll try to answer more questions...
You're right; show #2342.
There was one from the mid-90s that began with the "Yip Yip Family" song. The cast just liked singing it. (The family even made a cameo in one scene.)
New Arrivals:
TMS--UK Edits of Joel Grey/Zero Mostel
A Walking Tour of SS w/ James Earl Jones
An alternate version of The Muppet Movie
MT--Cindy Crawford
and the biggest item (in my opinion) of these new arrivals:
Tales of the Tinkerdee
Eric was the blue-green frog on banjo. At the beginning of "Froggy Went A-Courtin'" one of the frogs said "Pick it, Eric!"
P.S.: There was one character in the Ruth Buzzi guide I couldn't identify; who's Annie?
Above anything else, the words "Special Edition" grabbed my attention. I still can't believe it; we've got two classic Muppet series coming to DVD this year.
And we've got official dates.
*Faints yet again*
Glad to see you back here, S.S. :)
Thanks for the update. Interesting how the episodes were set up this season; first the "healthy-themed" episodes aired, and then mixed with older episodes. I'm a bit bummed about the rest of the series not airing until later (since by season 34 I decided to...
I'm still confused on how Richard performs Sweetums' mouth. The only thing I could find about it was the springs, when the mouth wasn't in use.
But in the Cloris Leachman episode, his mouth definitely moves like a regular puppet.
How does his mouth move as a puppet? Does...
1) Kermit explains that Suzanne will use her body to do something. First, he points out each of Suzanne's parts, before reaching her head. When asked what she'll do, she replies by drinking a glass of milk to the sound of loud applause.
2) A pink see-through curtain in the back, and a metal...
