Keep in mind that Denver's death occured in a plane. His family wanted that scene cut, perhaps because it would have brought people (particuarly his family) uncomfortable memories. But I agree, it is a funny scene, and would be nice if it had stayed for the DVD release.

Actually, the current Youtube version is the commonly seen edited version (the scene with John Denver and Rowlf taking a airplane ride is cut out).

On the second page of the comic, the words 'STORY BY MARI ROSTER' and ' ART BY MANNY STALLMAN' can be spotted under the comic's title.

I also agree that any muppet can be paired up with any muppet. With that being said, there are so many possible combinations...

Do you prefer Gonzo and Rizzo or Rizzo and Pepe? Recently it seems like Rizzo and Pepe have been paired up more often. Although I see the two as a funny 'partners in crime' pair, I still don't feel the 'buddy-buddy' thing that Gonzo and Rizzo have. :concern::shifty::rolleyes:

I enjoyed this muppet special. It had a lot of heart, and was also humorous. My parents also enjoyed it. It was nice to see a lot of old friends (the Electric Mayhem, Scooter, Robin, Lew Zeland, Rowlf, Crazy Harry). However, the plot did seem a bit too kidyish. Pepe sounded a bit different...
