    Man teaches parrot about "N"

Does anyone remember this classic cartoon from the earliest days of Sesame Street? It looked like it was animated by the same people who made the Lion chasing Leopard and the 2 men standing on top of a V. There was a professor and a little boy. The professor had a chalkboard with a...

    Hooperburger Haven

Does anyone remember this Sesame Street story from the late 70's? David was coming to work, until he saw a huge banner on Hooper's Store. "Home of the Hooperburger Haven." Mr. Hooper called David in and it showed Mr. Hooper wearing a striped red and white coat and a flat straw hat. He handed...

Did 123 Sesame Street ever have a landlord?

I don't really know for sure if that lavender guy was the landlord. But he did seem to do things that were landlordish.

Did 123 Sesame Street ever have a landlord?

Bob lived in a different building. His door was right between the Fix-It Shop and Hooper's.

Did 123 Sesame Street ever have a landlord?

I always wondered during the early 70's if 123 Sesame Street ever had a landlord? There was this lavender anything Muppet wearing a hat, glasses, a suit, had gray curly hair and sounded like Jerry Nelson. And I was wondering if he was in charge of the building after seeing these episodes...

English cartoons that can't be dubbed....

Originally, in the Animalia TV series. They were planning on creating one animal character for every letter of the alphabet. But when they realized that Animalia was going to be dubbed in many different languages, they decided to drop the alphabet theme and just show a bunch of random animals.

"Here Fishy Fishy" vs "Ernie Catches All the Fish"

I like the, "Here Fishy, fishy", skit because it's so funny hearing Ernie shout like that. In real life, shouting like that would scare the fish away. In the other skit, they seemed to have gotten that, "What happened to your friend", joke from this classic Tex Avery cartoon, Field and...

English cartoons that can't be dubbed....

Yes, that's what I was thinking, Dr.Tooth and thanks for the Spanish dubbed Ernie and Bert link. I also remember the cartoon about a guy bringing in A words, but in the Spanish version, they had to replace apple with a heart, an apron with a towel, an arrow with a harpoon, and an ashcan with...

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Oh yeah. I do remember the ending of that book being shorter than the episode for some reason. Also, I loved that fairy tale themed restaurant where they ate Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Twin Lobsters, Wicked Witch of the West Weenies. And Little Bo Peep's Pot Pie. I can just imagine what the...

English cartoons that can't be dubbed....

I was wondering, are there any English speaking cartoons that can't be dubbed in other languages? The Electric Company's Letterman series deals with changing English words. So that would probably be hard to dub in other languages, not to mention changing the storylines. And in Word World...

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

I remember finding the Arthur book where D.W. refuses to eat spinach at a restaurant. It was just like that episode I remember seeing which got me started watching Arthur.

"What a Cartoon!" Cartoon Network Shorts

I remember King Crab. He was voiced by the late Frank Gorshin who also played the Riddler in the classic Batman. This cartoon was created by Bill Wray who also made the Monroe cartoons from Mad Magazine. The Zesty character looks a lot like Monroe too.

I'd like to see Preston Rabbit back. He seemed to be Jim Martin's signature character on Sesame Street.
