Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I mean Wow, it does explain some things about the show and it famous cast of characters to kids who haven't even heard of Sesame Street...

Ummm, You do recall that Whitmire also does this Jim Henson Character....:p.
I mean maybe he's busy doing some new Erine and Bert sketches for the 40th season of Sesame Street ?
Also don't forget all of Whitmire's other Muppet characters. :)
First time here, and I must say that this is a good idea to me.
Still I've always felt that although Kermit is with the Muppets he is still owned by Disney, but isn't there anyway to overlook that rule since Kermit was the 1st of the Muppets ?
I mean I miss seeing Kermit appearing in Emmet...
I have to say I do agree with you Oscarfan. I mean while Murray is starting to bring back what originally Made SS so great, it does seem like he's becoming a bit too popular all of the sudden.
I mean it's not like it's a bad thing, I would have thought they try to take it a bit slow. :super:
Nice update and great :super:cameo into this story, I guess that's the only SS gang cameo we'll be getting into this story.
I also enjoy seeing Kermit And Piggy getting to their vaction spot safely, and also enjoyed the previous chapter musical number about having a vaction. :)
Please do...
As the Count, :batty:, would say....That's 2...2 eaten awards that Cookie has eaten. Ah, ah, ah!
Thunder comes in along with the lighting.
Something tells me we better update Cookie's Wiki entery. :insatiable:
You aren't the only one I mean no Grover or Count or Rosita either.
Still it was a great tribute, and even I was rooting for Marty to win the emmy this year as he sort of deserves it as a puppeter. :wisdom:
They already showed Roscoe along with ELmo and Oscar and that was BEFORE the preformace.
AS for that, it was worth the wait and FYI, it your a fan of this guy...:insatiable:.
Then you know it was good all around.
You know what the sad thing is, I still can recall the 35th anniversary special, and to me it wasn't even a special as the show was mentioned barely within the episode and was more about a promo to that year season. :(
You think with all the star power the show generated over the years, that...
While that is all true and all and yes besides the NJ event, the books and the 2 disc DVD set are worth it.
However you would think with all they've done with over the previous anniversary seasons You would kind of expected more ...
I mean this is Sesame Street we're talking about, the place were you can see celebrities far and wide.
I mean should there be a special 40th anniversary DVD focusing only on the celebrity shorts on the show ?
Should there be a 40th anniversary DVD showing the "All-stars" of Sesame Street...
THe one thing that impressed me the most was the full body scale of Cookie Monster in the Q & A section.
I mean that got to be the 1st time anybody seen the FULL BODY FORM of the famous Cookie eater. :insatiable:
The cover looks GOOD!
However, I'm still upset that it may be all about the show's most famous short segments throughout the past 40 years. :(
Other than that it's still a good cover.
