Wait a minute, wasn't the increase casting the same thing that occured in the lead up to Season 40 ?
With Abby, Chris and then Nela respectively in their intro Seasons into the 40th one. Wouldn't it just be a sense of Deja vu ?
For a show that has a 50 year history, Sesame Street has it share of unique storylines. However which of the many stories from the street should come to DVD and Blu-ray for modern audiences to enjoy ?
For a list of Sesame Street storylines look no further than here...
Since we're talking about former Sesame Street Cast members coming to Caroll Spinney's retirement party... Makes me wonder if Buffy Sainte-Marie, Buffy of the Sesame Street 70's shows, was there or made a video message?
I ask this question given that in her recent Biography, Buffy dedicated a...
Having Herry at the very least make a comeback in Season 50, even for a few episodes would be a treat to see.
Plus they could bring back all the old songs just for the 50th Season and/or saving it for the 50th anniversary special on TV. Surely that is a reason to bring back the old characters...
Sesame Street was always full of many unique characters and while the current cast is a basic simple and small cast...that does bring up the question of Season 50 ?
An anniversary season that full of surprises is worth the wait. So that bring up this question: With so many characters that...
Well that is surprising, but then again Steve Whitmire had no ill will towards Caroll Spinney.
However, I do wonder if Whitmire was there, then what of the likes of Kevin Clash and Joey Mazzarino ?
Would Joey at least try to show up for Carol Spinney's retirement party ?
Was Frank Oz even...
So it was recently reported that Fran Brill stepped out of retirement to attend the retirement of Caroll Spinney, the man behind :wisdom: and :grouchy:. While that is a touching moment to see...it does give me a bit of hope that maybe they can convince her to make a cameo appearance via Season...
Strike my last post because this was what I wanted to see. I mean final good retirement party with some old cast members making an appearance or two. Now THAT is the Sesame Street Family that I remember via "Follow that Bird." :wisdom:
I even spotted Grungetta in this. :grouchy:
Forgive me for being a bit rude, but it while it was a truly touching moment, and I am getting emotional just seeing it.
I don't know if it was possible, but it would have been more epic if they brought in the old Adult cast to say good-bye to Caroll. It would have been touching to see the...
I cried a bit when I heard the news, but I realized that he truly deserved this given his role in the overall series. Honestly 50 years being two polar opposite characters in an educational series. Just wow. That alone makes me speechless.
Thanks for the great childhood memories Mr. Spinney...
While I am happy that we are receiving this 50th anniversary special on BOTH HBO and PBS...I do wonder if the local networks of ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS will get the special too given how in the past anniversary specials are aired on THOSE NETWORK before re-airing on PBS.
Never apologize for expressing your opinion and to be honest I have the same idea of seeing a reunion between the Muppets of Sesame Street and the surviving cast of the show's 50th year long history in a banquet like style almost similar to that of the Muppet's 30th anniversary special.
It...
On the Sesame Street Youtube Channel as of late they've been showing Animated Sing-a-long songs of Sesame Street Classic songs from Grover's Monster in the Mirror to Oscar's I Love Trash and I was wondering if anyone been seeing them lately and if so, then what's your reaction to them ?
I can see Ruth Buzzi making a possible cameo appearance for the 50th anniversary, but who knows the status of Linda Bove and whether or not they can get her and Barkley back together again for the 50th anniversary ?
