    What made you angry today?

My baby is still a 1982 Atari 2600. The thing is dang near indestructible. You can pour soda on it, you can run it over with a burning tank, and it will still play. Even after being locked in a garage for two years, exposed to the elements, and accumulating an inch of dust, this thing was built...

Depends on how it's made. Wait til you're my age, you might be seeing oatmeal more often than not.

Ask A Pig All the Questions

Wanna go for Chinese? There's actually a fancy Chinese restaurant in my town where they stress eating with chopsticks. They'll give you a fork as a last resort, but they try to keep it as authentic as possible.

Do they make windmill cookies without almonds?

Back to the original thread: Windmill cookies have been around forever. There's still a little Amish bakery in Lancaster, PA that makes them from scratch. With almonds and molasses. Sadly, I don't see a nut-free version anywhere. Guess you'll have to settle for vanilla wafers.

Yes. Some people only know Frank because of daughter Moon's "Valley Girl" record in the 80's. But he could play guitar, produce, and compose like it's nobody's business. Ike probably was his best singer (Flo and Eddie get honorable mention). And for people who thought his lyrics were obscene...

Frank Zappa is one of my top 3 musicians of all time. And here he has the great Ike Willis helping out on vocals.

That happens as you get older, your tastes change. I certainly don't touch the sweet stuff of my younger days, and it wasn't till my 40's I really developed my passion for spices. So you're a work in progress, that's fine. A little saltiness never hurt anyone.

    What made you angry today?

Don't let it discourage you. Nobody said getting a driver's license was easy (took me three tries). But once you get that PASS, there's no stopping you. Some people on here haven't even made it as far as you. They quit. From the fuzzy old coot: Quitters never win Winners never quit.

    What made you angry today?

All the more reason to declaw them, especially if they're indoor cats. We used to lay down the law with our kitties. You got a scratching post. You touch the furniture or curtains, say goodbye to your claws. Let them think it over. First sign of scratching up the furniture, you're going to the...

The New Am I The Only One Thread

Am I the only one who remembers Marshmallow Fluff? Spread it on one slice of bread, peanut butter on the other, put it together, you have a fluffenutter! I've never been a jelly fan, so this stuff rocks. Until Nutella came along.

    Pet Peeves

I wouldn't pay them much mind. Once they drive off, they're out of sight, out of mind. Once 20 years ago we were driving along this winding mountain road in Pennsylvania. This piece of crap car comes up behind me and leans on the horn. I'm going the speed limit, but the road is narrow, and over...

    When you need to rant...

The band probably paid for it (they were in debt for years.) But once they got their act together the Dead became one of the highest-grossing bands ever. They never sold many records, but they could sell out stadiums. In the last 8 years of their career (1987-95) it wasn't a matter of if they...

    When you need to rant...

Way back in 1967 (when the Grateful Dead were fairly new) Bob Weir encouraged the audience to take their chairs, fold them up, place them on the ground, and dance on them. The audience had a good time, but the promoter and security got bent out of shape. Those poor defenseless little chairs...

    Questions about anything

What I wouldn't give to be 140 again. 160 wasn't bad, 180 made me nervous, 200 and over freaked me out. I was NEVER this heavy! My size 32 jeans I had since high school had to go bye bye, I had to constantly up grade my pants. Right now I can fit a 36(I was a 40 at one point) 190 pounds. If I...

    Questions about anything

Don't hold this against me, but I didn't gain weight until my forties. I was blessed with such a high metabolism I never gained. Paying for it now, though. Sometime in my forties I started getting a pot belly and I can't even blame it on beer. My heaviest was 240, and that scared me to death...

    Questions about anything

Because A.A. Milne loved plays on words. Pooh lived "Under the name of Sanders"- literally that would be an alias. A pen name. A nom de plume. Piglet had a sign over his door that originally said "Trespassers Will Be Told To Leave". The sign was shortened to "Trespassers Will", or in Piglet's...
