VeggieTales creator responds to racism claims

Nothing. But some extremists may argue having ugly shriveled raisins singing Motown hits is racist. Or at the very least "race appropriation".

VeggieTales creator responds to racism claims

I'm surprised nobody got upset over Will Vinton's California Raisins of the late 80's.

VeggieTales creator responds to racism claims

This is funny. It points out how absurd the PC police have become. It also cheapens the idea of what is truly racist. If you accuse anything or anybody that even slightly offends you as being racist, it blurs the reality of something that really can be racist. A lot of the easily offended, fake...

The exercise wheel in a hamster cage is only torture if you hook it up to a generator so the hamster generates electricity. When I was little, my next door neighbor had a hamster. Instead of a steel cage, the hamster had a Habitrail. These connecting sections you can buy at the pet store. They...

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Way back when I was 15, my dad and some friends ran a chicken coop. Made a nice profit selling the eggs. A hundred hens and one rooster. Twice a week I helped clean the coop and gather the eggs. If an egg dropped on the floor, the chickens would peck and eat it. Cannibal chickens! Holy egg drop...

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

My dad went through a similar deal. He died when he was 70. After smoking 3 packs of Camels a day (which have more tar than any other brand) every day for 55 years, the damage was done. If he lived, he would've had both legs amputated. I pray it's not too late for your dad, like it was for mine.

That's no ordinary weed. This strain is grown in Morocco and packs a heavy punch. Not your average home-grown.

Winter lasted longer up here, Spring has been colder than usual, so by now everything should be in full bloom, but not yet. As a rule of thumb, the cherry blossoms in Branch Brook Park in Newark (several acres of pink) bloom by the second week in April. They're a little late this year...

Here's a synopsis of Little Miss Muffet: Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet (actually a groovy bean bag chair). Eating her curds and whey (in other words, cheese waste!). Along came a spider and sat down beside her (one of those big fake Halloween spiders lowered on a string) And said, "What...

Another skit pulled out of the depths of Season One. Bill Cosby and Lee Chamberlin sitting at a table in a fancy restaurant. Lee in an elegant dress, Bill in his tuxedo and top hat, puffing on his ever-present cigar. Cosby: "WAITER!!!" Lee: "WALTER!!!" Two or three more attempts of Cosby...

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

Which brings up another question. Even if Kim Kardashian turns out to be the most brilliant legal mind since J. Edgar Hoover, are people really gonna beat down her door to have her represent them in court? Maybe Mama June and her boyfriend Sweet Possum Butt.

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

Becoming a lawyer is not something to do on a whim. Even if there are loopholes being in California, it takes time and commitment before you can represent people in court. You join a law firm, you sit in on a few trials to understand the complexities of the judicial system. THEN you might be...

Coming up on April 21 is my 51st birthday, which falls on Easter this year. It's the latest Easter can possibly be. Earth Day is the day before. Plus things are finally starting to bloom.. So to tie it all together and see signs of life on my birthday, (and Jesus' rebirth) that's a great gift.

    2020 Democratic candidates

Biden has a hurdle to overcome with his "touchy-feely" habits. And Obama, his former running mate, has been silent about Biden's wandering hands. If he can get past this obstacle, Joe has two advantages. 1. While other candidates are veering more to the left, Biden is holding to the center...

Could Between the Lions ever come back?

Even if they never made another episode, to crank out three seasons of Between the Lions is quite an achievement. What made it so good was everyone was inspired, everybody gave it 110% they had the money to make it, everything worked. But that was almost 20 years ago. Just about any time...
