I'll rent it. Henson really needs to go back to puppetry, this dependency on CG is really getting annoying and Hensons need to get back to their roots. This looks like standard DreamWorks crap than it does Henson.
I'm going to Labyrinth on Monday and going to DC (probably) February 2. There's a good chance I won't make to any showings of MTM, however (I'm on vacation both those weekends). 'Hope to see you there! :)
A'ight, so way back in 97-98 back when I'd watch One Saturday Morning on ABC, before the actually block began, my local ABC affiliate (WABC) would show various E/I shows early in the morning. I remember some of them vividly (The All New Captain Kangaroo, Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures) but there...
I honestly don't get this. How does a sequel to one of Jim's best films go direct-to-DVD while garbage like Good Boy! and MirrorMask get to go to the big screen? I really thought this would finally be the big release that would have started the Henson renaissance we've been waiting much too long...
Well, I just got back from TMM and it was great! The biggest crowd for a kid's movie I've seen at the JBFC. I was looking for some MCers with no luck (if you were there, tell me! I'll look for you at Labyrinth ;) ) but still had a blast. The only negative was that they didn't have a 35mm film...
I'm probably seeing TMM this Saturday and then I'll probably see Labyrinth on MLK Day, I'm still deciding when I'll see DC but I know I won't make it to any of the showings of MTM (I'm going to be in Florida both those weekends, but maybe I'll be back for the final show on 2/24. I'll have to see...
Disney stole my idea with the upcoming movie Bolt, except it was about Pluto instead of the title character. Ah well I'm not mad, it'll be like seeing my idea being turned into a real movie and that'll be awesome. :D
With the end of the year near, I can say that this was quite a year for the American cinema. There was a little bit of everything, I don’t get out to the movies that much but here are my reviews of the films I saw in 2007.
Here is my rating system (borrowed from Mr. Black):
5 stars – Top...
Ha-ha. Well, to be fair, Degrassi: TNG really isn't that awful a show, it's just so bad that it's funny (though nowadays the new episodes are so bad that there bad). But I could pretty much live without all the other stuff besides K&K and the 80's stuff. They could at least put a few Nick GAS...
Several episodes are available as bonus features on the FR single-discs, but HIT hasn't done a single-disc DVD in nearly 2 years, so there are only a few episodes out there on DVD. There are no plans to release the animated series in season set form.
Nope, no All That or any other 90's Nick shows at all. Maybe that'll change, back when The N first started, they showed a lot of 90's Nick shows, maybe they just want to get all the popular stuff out of the way first.
I'm loosening up to the special now, it has nothing on Christmas Eve on Sesame Street or even Elmo Saves Christmas. But I'm still hoping it becomes an annual tradition, even if it'll be slightly dated by next year. The :p + :( scene is clearly the highlight of the special, good to see a...
I finally found The N's 24-hour schedule! Aside from Keanan & Kel, the occasional Degrassi and NDSSG (which is hardly on, grrr.... :smirk: ) I can't believe they are taking Nick GAS off for this...
