There is mugging for the camera, little winks to the audience...then there is just gag me with a rubber chicken.
Remember Elmo In Grouchland? How they would actually stop the film for Bert and Ernie to tell ther audience it is just a movie? Why must they insult people's intelligence?
Ive...
Sorry to have to tell you Jamie, but it looks like you were the only one who didnt see Muppet Babies for the wonderful magical show it was. Sorry it didnt have '24' frames or whatever magic number ya keep talking about. Bottom line: Muppet Babies stands as one of the greatest children's...
Re: Veggie Tales Saved My Christmas!
Having been a HUGE cgi fan since the 80's, I make it a point to try to check out any new cgi series...and while Veggie Tales does sport animation vastly over say Roly Poly or other low grade stuff out there...something about the overall project becons a...
Re: Re: The Disney Store
Geez, what is it...like $80 a family member just to enter the Magic Kingdom? It's a shame the starving families who put together all the goodies ya see at Disneyland in Malasia arent afforded the oppurtunity to go to the magic kingdom. Theyre lucky if their kids...
It's a big shame about Bear if they stopped making episodes. I firmly believe this was the best live action/non cartoon kid's show since Fraggle Rock. period. I dont know if I should blame the nefarious Disney or other unfairness factors in life.
And its funny, the only reason I know about...
It has occured to me what an attrocious indecency is being committed againt the kids of today.
It started with Barney and Power Rangers. It continued with the Telletubies, and other abominations of mankind.
While Im not asking for the magical programming I grew up with(80's era Sesame...
True. But man I dont wanna say this...but a couple weeks ago I rented Great Muppet Caper(one of only a few Muppet dvds I dont have) and I...wellll...you know that feeling some people have during KSY or most of MFS? Um...yeah....but I did love the Muppets in the double decker at night...
I think if you were to look up the word 'Shelf Warmer' in the Oxford English Dictionary...it would have a picture of a proposed TMS Vet's Hospital. If Muppet Labs with Beaker(BEAKER! C'mon! He alone is worth buying it!) seems to warm shelves like Macarena hamsters, then you just know a Vets...
Let's not kid ourselves...the variants/exclusives pretty much eclipse the originals. Sorry to say, I think it is clear the variants look cooler than the originals.
Let's look at it:
What looks cooler?
I think EB Piggy hands down beats regular short hair piggy.
I think Vacation Fozzie...
Thanks for the link man!
I usually check out the local Hot Topic every week, but havent been able to get to the mall for awhile. But hot darn...I really want those Animal knee high socks! (Yes, I wear cartoonish knee high socks...Im embracing my geeky side, heh)
AND OMG!!! Are those...
Hmmm, this one flew under the radar, must be one of Spielberg's less hyped flicks. Usually he just does sci fi or history films, so this is kind of an odd new approach for him.
(I only saw Minority Report last year Spielberg wise)
YA got to see TMM in theatres? Lucky! Wait...how *old* Are you again;) I got to see a double feature of Never Ending Story with Muppets Take Manhattan...and my goodness, you cant get a better mid 80's double feature than that!(Unless you were to include Goonies, but then thatd be too much)...
Yeah, I forgot to include the Workshop layoffs in my report...I should have put that under my 'not all was rosy' part of the post.
But yeah, what did happen in September with regards to MC? Jamie did the graphics overhaul? I forget...
Awesome! Yeah I just got to see Jedi in theatres, was way to young/not born yet for the first two.
Its cool youw ere raised on the original three! Sadly, most the new generation will probably see the new ones and balk at the 'old' ones. CGI is no subsitute for good puppetry I say!
