So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

I said that? Lol, I mean I believe you, but remind me?

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

Yeah I know! That's what really made Christopher Reeves' performance so perfect; he could be this strong, confident, all powerful SuperGuy, but then realistically slip back into making you laugh as the clumsy Clark Kent, lol. Yeah I mean, fashion statements are fun, but it's the whole...

The Bible and Love and Christians

I honestly haven't studied Plato since college, lol, but I think all religions have been influenced by each other one way or the other. It's inevitable. But I don't think it was only Plato. Jesus also introduced the idea of a loving God who was like a parent. And even before that, Abraham learns...

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

Lol, yeah that's a good example of glasses enhancing character and personality. Oh people won't believe me when I tell them how blind I am, lol. When I was a little kid my vision was perfect and I used to taunt my parents when I could read things they couldn't. Then of course Karma came along...

Is It Normal For A Diz Film To Have No Hype?

Sadly it seems to be the fate of the rest of the world to keep reminding us that it could be worse, heh.

The Bible and Love and Christians

My friend and I were talking about something recently that I found intriguing. I mentioned it in another thread but then realized it should also go here, lol. Anyway, we pondered why the ancient Greeks and Romans chose to envision their gods as arbitrary and cruel beings. I mean, why would you...

Is It Normal For A Diz Film To Have No Hype?

Well that's the peculiar nature of Capitalism. It may have its evils, but it also occasionally allows good things to be created. ;) Sort of like how the ancient Greeks and Romans envisioned their gods as arbitrary and cruel, because they correctly observed that the world was arbitrary and...

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

Drew Carey took his glasses off once on Who's Line and for two seconds I wasn't sure who it was, lol. I'm an OCD and the glasses are definitely a frequent trigger. :coy: I hope he's not driving! :concern:

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

Oh yeah my eye doctor is quite sick of me at this point, lol. So was the makeup person in my High School play who struggled to help me get mascara and eye liner on every night, lol. I'd still like to try contacts again, but will have to wait awhile for financial conditions to improve, hehe...

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

Hmm, does Clark Kent wear the glasses or do the glasses wear Clark Kent? :search:

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

Yeah I was going to mention that too but I was afraid I'd start sounding like whiner after complaining about the contacts, lol.

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

Lol, true. I don't know I'm not entirely sold on lasik. I mean it's great in theory but I've heard too many stories of it not lasting. And in general, I'm against potentionally risky procedures that are purely elective.

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

I think glasses can definitely add to character and all. I'm just sick of having to rely on them and get them adjusted. And I know it sounds shallow but once and awhile I would like to people to actually see my face, lol. It's gotten better over the years, I have titanium glasses with no frames...

So is Tina Fey Trying to Ditch Her Glasses?

I would like to use contacts but I'm one of those people who finds it nearly impossible to get them in. I have managed it in the past but it took like a half an hour everytime! I think it's just a mental thing, the idea of touching the eye and all. :insatiable:

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

It took awhile but I came around to the Wayne's World and Austin Powers movies, lol. I just don't see that happening for CITH, lol. ;)

    Muppet Movies Actual Box Office!

Actually I remember at the time of the article (2008) the Tough Pigs forum also mentioned that there was a Letter to the Editor after this article, so at least there was some interest from the public. :)

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

LOLOL, I didn't think anyone was going to get that, thank you so much, lol. Yeah I only recently started watching episodes actually, but I really enjoy the show. I'm not that much of a comic book hero person, but Greatest American Hero works for me because it is so tongue in cheek and yet...

Is It Normal For A Diz Film To Have No Hype?

The "independent thinker saves the day" storyline has indeed started to become a cliche....how ironic! Lol

So, What do you Think of THIS?

I'm not even sure that's true anymore; I see a lot of other kids shows that seem just as, if not more, popular at this point.

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

I don't know but I wish they would stop. Grinch completely missed the point of the original book and Cat in the Hat was atrocious. I admit I didn't see Horton but it looked like the same old tired jokes that somehow pass for comedy nowadays. Dr. Seuss' works were so unique and so creative and...
