And we thank you! In the 30 plus years I've been a huge Muppet/Henson related fan, your Bear character and his overall message and personality stands as one of my favorite characters. The "Bear brand" overall I feel is the best thing since Fraggle Rock. And even if the Jerry Lewis telethon ends...
Ha, this rocks. I honestly haven't seen Henson related puppet making books since 1993(and I remember a few really good ones)
I think people complicate life too much, and forget that you don't need to run to Toys R Us or Amazon.com to make amazing toys, gifts or fun educational stuff. This needs...
Ooh you got to see Carol/Oscar in person too? Sweet. Wasnt it amazing? Yeah thats why I supported the "1 hand 1 muppet" or whatever that campaign was, because these guys are masters of their craft. Even tho I loathe Elmo and his over exposure, Kevin Clash is one of the most premiere and gifted...
Well shoot, Frogboy and I are in California. I know many others here would be willing to travel. I say if there is not an official
"Muppet fan weekend" at Disneyland or WDW next year that we make D23 2011 an unofficial fan meetup.
Im jealous! I got all the youtube clips I could of the...
Well that's the thing, the Muppets are actors. That's really the only continuity or canon. The idea of Walter as this fan of the Muppets(ie: like all of us) is genius, especially since he happens to be part of the species of a Muppet. Now THE MUPPETS(tm) is what he's a fan of, the beloved...
It's true, the oil meme seems a bit dated. But I am curious to see Chris Cooper play this straight as a dramatic turn. But oil in Hollywood? Hmmm...yeah it's weird. Again though, I applaud making this movie based in the real world where all the Muppet's past is acknowledged.
Eeesh, Im sorry...
Doesn't it seem like Beauregard is a very wise, character? Like he's been around awhile...seen a lot. Sure he is the guy with the mop, but it seems underneath that exterior lies a very knowledgeable character who almost feels like a symbolic bedrock of the Muppets.
The name's Cory. I really should have just used my real name, but after four years of being "neobeaker" in 2002 when this forum opened I grabbed "Beaker" as I knew someone would grab it. I was a bit, well more immature back then:) I would say gonzo is closer to who I identify with. Man, can't...
I didn't mean it as harsh, it's just the way it is. Two different mediums. And trust me, if you saw Muppets performed in person the illusion works very well to where your mind separates the performer from the character. Again, this is why Im glad they only have the signature performer paired...
I like what I like, sorry. I dont need to research something to further appreciate something if I don't already love it. I loved the heck out of Monsters vs Aliens and Up last year, as well as 2005's Robots and Chicken Little. Some people didnt. But I cant convince someone to like something if...
Disney has 11 months to re-introduce the public at large to the Muppets; and Im sure they will pull all the stops out and surprise us in how they plan to go about that. I mean, who on planet earth besides a few film nerds remembered Tron? And now they've made that their main action film of the...
Yeah I've seen about 10 Pepe Nanco plushes sold for under $20 on ebay lately, but to me they look attrocious. I'm a huge Pepe fan but I don't even want it, heh. Hopefully next year we'll get some. Rumor had it that in 2002 there was suppose to be Lohn John Silver's Pepe plushes but I don't think...
A telethon to save a studio? Sounds like the plot of UHF!
Ha, I've been to Reno one too many times and can totally see the "Moopets". I like the idea of having to go far and wide to re-assemble the Muppets. That was my idea in 2002 with a script idea. Very cool!
Yeah I can put up with the Cars franchise if it means more amazing originals(like Up, Incredibles) and sequels to films I want to see(Monsters Inc) Cars 2 looks great, I just cant stand the premise, Mater's look or accent, etc. Then again, who knows I may just like it...I thought I'd love Toy...
Actually, Beau has in recent times(at least with youtube Vrmup and Muppets.com) been brought back to somewhat of a prominent role. His stuff with Bobo is priceless! There's something wise and iconic about Beau anyways.
Did Bolt perform well? I know Princess and the Frog got a lot more marketing/buzz/merchandise than Bolt
A teaser literally could be a 30 second black screen with Kermit and Fozzie arguing, and then the title. Or the ol' "fooled you" teaser where it makes you think its some epic gripping new...
