The Friends of the Friendless Clud Threab

Hey Im 33 and it took me awhile to realize one needs to be their own best friend..and that if you just have a few, even a couple friends who you can do stuff with and have common music/interest tastes...it's good. I know with the advent of facebook and texts, people don't call much anymore. I...

The Bible and Love and Christians

Hey, I thought I was the resident conspiracy theorist here! :) It's true, the Department of Homeland Security report cites Christians, gun owners, etc as the "new possible terror threat". I'm against persecution of anyone for beliefs en masse. This includes both the persecution of Christians...

    Unofficial Picture Thread!

The new me...I guess Im going for this mid 1980's nerd punk look, or looking like I just stepped out hosting a wacky kid's show from the late 80's http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/268459_2027356677095_1039387066_32270839_5745307_n.jpg me vs a giant lego block...

    NEW Disney Marvel MUPPET comics!

Well all Disney licenses were yanked at once, so it's one big strike. Im just wondering where that talent is going to go. I really have come to agree with Joe Murray in his blogs on how indie and free is the way to go. I mean if the creator of Rocko and Lazlo is now exclusively doing online...

    NEW Disney Marvel MUPPET comics!

In a way the Boom thing reminds me of Dreamwave...from the fan's perspective(not management wise) While Dreamwave collapsed because the people running it were wildly running around mismanaging the funds, if you were a fan it was very similar. Dreamwave had the absolute most gorgeous looking...

A lucky day to buy Muppet DVD's.

You can find on torrent sites(and I think video.google.com?) the original unedited Muppet Family Christmas from 1987(or at least the European version, which is pretty much the uncut version minus a couple bumpers and the brief Telly/Elmo stocking scene)

"The Muppets" Official US Poster and Standee

So, as I suspected, the "new Muppet trailer" was a rumor/hoax. Theyd never release a new full trailer so close to the first. Well fanfics are generally thrown into the same tableaux as furries, rabid Sonic fans, pairshippers(fanfic of pairings between two male lead characters), and 4chan users...

2011 Muppet Movie plot officially announced

New forum layout rocks! At first I was offput by it, now I love it. Old one was way too stale. Wait til a month before the film drops, then we should see a spike. But I said this on here in 1998 and I'll repeat it: diehard Muppet fans have and will always be underground and niche

2011 Muppet Movie plot officially announced

Always found it hilarious how most people in this world light up and smile when they see Muppets(Sesame, TMS, Fraggle, whatever) but that being an actual "fan" has long been underground for fear of people being ridiculed....unless you're a college kid with an "ironic" Animal shirt. Why is it ok...

D23 Expo: Muppet news and happenings

Very cool...I just am curious why no events have been listed, especially for the Muppets. In 2009 Sunday was the big Muppet day...is there any word on what day will be the big Muppet film/future related day?

    Someone screaming for Jem DVD's?

I just picked up the 32 episode COPS for $6 at Fry's Electronics, even tho I already picked up the 10 episode one for $5. Some really good animation back then...Im sorry but most the cable animation SUCKS. I know we all can find respect and humor in Chowder, Fosters, Magic Is Friendship, Joe...

    Someone screaming for Jem DVD's?

Oh Im alll about 84-86 era Muppet Babies and Transformers(err, I'll say 84-88 for Muppet Babies as there were some memorable 87-88 episodes I really like, but my favorite were the early seasons) I remember the endless slew of arcade/atari based gamer cartoons in the early to mid 80's, so funny...

The complete and utter futility of being a fan of anything...

I'm what you would call a "selective" Disneyana fan. I love 20's through 40's Disney, some 80's stuff, LOVE the 90's Disney stuff and am so so on modern stuff. For instance, I consider 90's Goofy(the movies, tv show), House of Mouse, and Timon and Pumba some of my ALL time favorite Disney...

TeeNick adds "90's block", ratings success

No Kablam? :( Also what was that one live action show with the black puppet? Loved that one. Clarissa, another classic. Oh and All That. Loved Good Burger too. Yeah 1992-2002 Nick=amazing. My all time faves in order: Rockos Modern Life The Adventures of Pete and Pete Invader Zim Rugrats Kablam...

TeeNick adds "90's block", ratings success

That's pretty much true. It's not until the debut of Rugrats and Rocko did I start caring about Nickelodeon. That period of Rockos Modern Life, Rugrats, Pre Disney Doug, The Adventures of Pete and Pete=magical. All the way til the end of Invader Zim, and into a bit of Fairly Odd Parents and...

    Someone screaming for Jem DVD's?

Is Ncircle/Cookie Jar the company that releases all the 80's and 90's cartoons on $5 dvds at Target? (I think they or someone like them releases those super cheap versions of Pixar movies) So happy to find some Captain N, Mario, Zelda, Captain N and Sonic dvds. Some cartoons I dont need to have...

    Someone screaming for Jem DVD's?

Niiiice...I do remember this now. Man, 1987-1990=such a freaking amazing time period to be a kid. I feel bad for people too old or too young to be able to appreciate and live through the 80's.

The Bible and Love and Christians

YES. People need to work on themselves and be happy with themselves before they can expect to love or be loved in a romantic situation. The media and society constantly bombards us with the notion that someone is "less than" if they aren't with a "special someone"...yet look how many people are...

"The Muppets" Official US Poster and Standee

Yet another amazing blunder on the part of Disney's "buildup" to the movie(post tip to Dr Tooth) Who the heck would actually buy this? EEeesh. It's not even a real magazine, but just dull colored reprints of Boom comics with hardly any credit given to the original production.
