Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
That is a good idea. What fans really want is some glossy new pictures too! How about some sort of Muppets Guide to the World. All of the characters could be featured in a less clinical format while all could easily be included and introduced. We know it would be witty.
I'd also like to see...
Fraggles and Babies did have some quality in their storytelling and purpose, but were initially created to generate cash for the Jim Henson Company's variety of other projects. Hence the lesser production standards in quality. However, if they hadn't met Jim's approval he would have yanked them...
Hey Jim. What Dwayne said, kinda. Do you laugh or cringe with some of the Muppet references on the Family Guy (voice recasting jokes, Cookie Monster's habit etc.), the Simpsons (the Muppets Go Medieval), or the numerous other references on edgier shows?
This is how it works. Sure, we all like Kermit and Animal on grocery totes and tees, but there's a wealth of other character and products out there. This thread is to name up to five. One should be a high-end product, one of medium expense and the last should be something every fan can afford...
Guys, Rowlf IS back. He's been in the Weezer video years ago and had an integral part in the behind the scenes special. He's done a skateboarding YouTube bit and spoke a bit in the Letters to Santa special last year. We'll be getting Rowlf - the only question is how much more? :sympathy:
I really do hope so. Personally, I'd like to see Scooter as Kermit's right-hand-Muppet again. I'd also like to see him in a trio with Pepe and Rizzo. I think there's opportunity for humor. ;) :shifty:
I just picked up the 100 first episode Spongebob collection. I always wanted to collect all of them, but didn't much like the split up seasons within season sets. This covers almost 5 of the 7 seasons. It's 38 hours of squarecut goodness for about $70. Maybe Viacom will be so kind to the Turtles...
Independent ownership is best for integrity, but it is also very tiresome and quite cumbersome. Artists just get worn out dealing with all the uncreative elements - especially having to pitch their already established brand because they don't have big-studio backing.
The internet is changing...
Is this DTV member actually an official Disney provider? It doesn't really matter to me, but it would be great if they were finding a way to give the fans these edited clips they are unable to release on DVD.
What's your idea of a modern Piggy? Are you talking the look of the puppet or the outfits she wears? There have been many Miss Piggy versions through Muppet history.
This is what most fans want in a classic Piggy puppet style.
This is what many fans don't want by way of puppet...
The MR prototypes were accurately and painstakingly created by Terry Angus as reported, but the manufacturing process caused some compromises to be made on the actual product.
There are many reasons for this, but man - as much as I was upset by a few particular decisions - not for a moment...
Thanks. I just wrote the fix-it portion and that is my Gonzo poser picture too. Forum member Muppet Caper located the material we used to link in the article.
This poser is such a stunning piece, but that eye focus almost ruins the painstaking work done elsewhere. I'm a stickler for such...
I wrote the instructions at the end of this MC review. :concern: Has all you should need including a link for the fabric, but feel free to ask additional questions.
Here's a series of Family Guy Action Figures that's been out for years! How could Microsoft not know? They should have just let the ads kind of fizzle out on their own and not renew instead of affirming just how out of touch they are.
Last year's Gay Peter episode was very offensive, but...
I agree, the art is fantastic, but the logo at least needs a stamped base behind it or maybe just to go a different way with it. And that M is hard to read.
But again, that cover is pretty!
