It's Time To Dress Up Right

Very cool. My Beaker shirt is from Forever 21 too. The woman gave me an odd look when I said it wasnt a present for a girl since its definitely a smaller girl cut shirt and im a tall big guy.

An indie low budget Muppet movie=heaven

Does Puppet Heap build The Muppets now?

That is odd! I kind of now wish Puppet Heap was in New York City:) Kind of have that torch passed...but they still have a thing called "Muppet Workshop"? Very cool. I guess it's Disney's internal puppet makers? I think it's interesting that there is this legal and actual segregation of Jim...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Thanks to whoever for posting the Bobbin interview! http://collider.com/director-james-bobin-talks-the-muppets/126980/ Man, as much as Segel was the savior of the muppets...Bobbins clearly was the brains in some ways. Its doubtful Segel truly knew the ins and outs like Bobbins. His insistence...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

I agree at how powerful so much of it is. I've heard the word transcendent in a few comments. I really can't wait to see it again, as the first time I saw it wasn't the most optimum way. I wish I had the ability to see it in San Francisco or somewhere with an older hardcore fan crowd, but it's...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

The OTHER Muppet film out now:) And trust me, from what Ive heard I do mean Muppet...its not just Elmo and Sesame, but gets into the whole Jim Henson legacy. And just overall, it looks like an incredible and inspiring film. A Fraggle fan not much into the Muppets? Strange...well Im glad he...

Early Reports: Looks like Muppets will be #2 (next to Twilight)

Same here! Im going to the biggest busiest mall in my whole area with friends, getting as crazy muppet nerd dressed as I can, and seeing it at night there. If anything, I'll get some odd looks and hopefully meet some cool people...and hopefully get to see it with an enthusiastic vocal audience...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Doesn't it seem like older dvds used to get a lot of extras? It seems like starting in 2009, both family/kids and other releases began to get less and less extras as studios would hold off and rerelease a "special edition" that christmas or the following year with extras and double dip...

Early Reports: Looks like Muppets will be #2 (next to Twilight)

Shoot, I wouldnt date a girl who liked Twilight. Just rubs me the wrong way (the whole franchise) ...I mean what is the point of it? I mean we know what Harry Potter represents. We know what LOTR represents. What is the nuts and bolts of Twilight? I just dont see the appeal, and I actually...

Early Reports: Looks like Muppets will be #2 (next to Twilight)

Well Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris barely made any money the first few weeks...its now gone on to be one of the biggest grossing films of the year.

    The Muppets Movie Reviews

EW said BRILLIANT. I *loatttthe*, HATE this modern period of remix-remashed-rebooted dubstepped celeb worship twitter internet meme ADHD twitchy instant-everything smart phone cynical blah. Hate it. So the fact the Muppets makes fun of this and shows what the world has been missing...so spot on

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Hmm, there may be some significance attached to the performers or writers...but there's a quiet sort of wisdom and magic to Rowlf...I consider him the true gatekeeper and Gandolf of the muppets at time, as much as people think Kermit fills the role. Rowlf is like that old bluesplayer who doesnt...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

So glad ya got to see it last night, and Im excited to read your review. Man, didnt that opening scene feel like an emotional gut punch? Thats the closest Ive come to tears in a long time, felt overcome by goosebumps...i mean it perfectly captures both the magic and nostalgia we feel and the...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

I agree about the Robin thing. I think its very unfortunate Rizzo, Robin and Pepe are pretty much MIA. I felt the 'modern' cuts were unfortunate. The first three Muppet films are perfect because they feel natural, organic. Sure theres a couple fourth wall breaking moments, but its not so out of...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

I agree with Jamie's review. The film is perfect for their big comeback...its an amazing experience, the acting by the muppets is insanely well done. Its clearly very smart writing. But...theres definitely some gaping holes that feel cut out for some inexplicable reason. Its a good movie, but I...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

I joked last year that if Animal is in anger management and Fozzie is in Reno, Crazy Harry should be in some tribal region of Pakistan at a training camp:) It would have been HILLARIOUS if Sam the Eagle on the Fox channel parody cuts to footage of Crazy Harry, since Fox News is obsessed about...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Well no offense to anyone, but I posted in 2001 on here that its kind of funny because Crazy Harry looks like the stereotype of an Islamic terrorist with the beard and clothes. And did he even have an official explosives job, or was he literally just committing acts of terrorism in America? It...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Not at all. The movie is essentially VMX and a rough screen treatment I wrote and posted in 2002 on here. In 2002 I posted an outline where a few Muppets work in a big city at their own muppet consulting firm(san francisco or chicago), but a tall corporate highrise loomed over headed by a nasty...

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

A sense of realism? They lazily provide a bizarre Star Trek/Donnie Darko time warp ("travel by map" gag), where characters can warp anywhere in the world. Time can also somehow be stopped, a zillion people can magically appear outside of the movie theater, and Gonzo in this bad economy would be...
