I've met the artist who created the majority of that style gude. His name is John Loter. Very talented guy who also does most of the style guides for Disney and other companies too. If there's good stuff out there under a Disney or Muppet brand - it's usually him!
Manhattan Toy also holds the Dr. Seuss plush license and has been in business since the late 70's. I'm not a big fan of Hasbro or Mattel, but they'd do a much better, more relatable plush than Manhattan's strange looking attempts. I am glad that Fraggle merch is out there and that some company...
It seems they're trying to maintain interest in the product. That's a good thing. It doesn't mean they're any closer, but at least they're not hiding from their Muppets license. Plus, displaying those posers at their booth does get attention for the rest of their items. Hoping for the best!
I agree. These are middling quality and nothing to write home about. I wish someone would bring back the Sababa style beans. Those were cute.
I almost stocked these new ones in my shop, but the cost for retailers is *crazy expensive* and I don't see why. When you buy these from a store...
TMS season 4 was announced for this year by Disney executives at D23 last year so that’s why members seem so anxious. It isn’t that we’re merely impatient.
Fall is the busiest time for season sets here in the US. There’s lots of competition from new releases of active programs and they all...
This seems to me to be straight from a style sheet that we might not have access to instead of any of these quazi-similar poses. But that's just my view. It's anyone's guess. :o
However, I do know from personal experience that several sources are often used in the design process. This could...
Healthier options seem to close down fast because people are so used to fattier food franchises. It's about flavor and money in a very harsh economy. We need some sort of game plan, but banning toys is never an option in my book. Toys are good for you! :super:
In an ideal world those fatty food taxes would subsidize making healtier alternatives from fast food chains just as cheep as their junk food is now. That was the other part mentioned in my post. But if that sort of thing doesn't work then why not cancel all taxes on cigarettes, alcohol and other...
2004's Punisher movie wasn't perfect, but it was a good interpretation of the character with a strong lead actor.
Rover Dangerfield is also a well animated little gem that is often overlooked. I'm not sure what audience it was shooting for, but I enjoyed it.
Nobody's Fool is one of Paul...
As much as I hate the fast food industry I don't think this is quite right. Happy Meals don't make kids fat and unhealthy. The lack of exercise and activity combined with too many Happy Meals of food treats does that. An active kid should be able to naturally burn off the calories in a hamburger...
In part, but it's shifted to what's overrated, not merely what we didn't like or our least favorite films. There's a difference. There are plenty of fine things in life that I dislike, but wouldn't label them as being overrated. It's a fine line I guess.
I have to agree with Pocahontas being overrated, but not liking the Incredibles because it's a super hero movie when in actuality it's one of the most perfectly crafted super hero movies doesn't make it overrated, it just makes it a genre that doesn't meet everyone's taste. It's kind of like...
Hehe. :o
Yes, Action Figure Freddy is still up and running, but we moved from our old location. Our little stretch of Mission Street was the Bermuda Triangle portion. People only found us when they were lost. We're now up in Chinatown on 112 Waverly Place @ Clay. Much more foot traffic, much...
How anyone could watch this clip and feel anything but thrilled about it is beyond me. This is a truly fantastic and special little moment! Bravo!:
This is an unnatural body shape and pose for Fozzie so I'd guess the sculptor used some sort of drawn style guide image instead of a puppet photograph. It is an interesting, attractive series of figures, just not very Muppet accurate.
Most of you have probably seen these before, but here are some of my candid Facebook snapshots.

It's been months, but I still wouldn't give up hope. It took a very, very, very long time for me to get my first-batch collar. The lack of communication would make me angry too. There's got to be some way to get him to reply about the second batch.
Forgive me if my previous post sounded personally pointed at you. It really wasn’t.
Incorrectly labeling a film a flop won't do anything to help the sequel get made. In fact, perpetuating that fallacy serves to make people believe it. Your claim isn’t the first time I’ve heard this so the...
