The Bible and Love and Christians

I admit that the thread's gotten severely muffined by this and that (not at all my doing...i keep bring this back to the topic). This thread is called "The Bible and Love and Christians" and was started as one member's YouTube plea in the mist of the "It Gets Better" videos. In this clip he...

The Bible and Love and Christians

LOL! It's just one of those things that always stuck with me - that she kept repeating that just because you're a Christian doesn't mean you have to be nice to people. I'd never heard anyone actually come out and say that so plainly before! I'm not certain many people would actually support...

The Bible and Love and Christians

I remember Christian Republican pundit and author of the highly critical book Godless, Ann Coulter saying several times that just because a person is a Christian doesn't mean they have to be nice to people. She even went as far as saying, "I'm a Christian first and a mean-spirited, bigoted...

Is It Normal For A Diz Film To Have No Hype?

It's not time to worry yet. Animated films begin production years before they come out. This began production late last fall. Different animal, but it would have been nice to see a teaser. Disney is releasing "African Cats" and "Prom" in April, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" in...

The Bible and Love and Christians

I think both should be important, but I'm not a Catholic, of course! ;) I'm not a big advocate of religion, but I do support the personal journey one has with their faith. Is it weird that, for example, I separate the individual Catholic from Catholicism and separate that from the Catholic...

Labyrinth 2 Return to the Labyrinth

One Frogboy's Take on Jim Henson's Labyrinth I think Jim's message about the Labyrinth would be confused with a legit Jareth/Sarah love story. Sure there was definitely some sexual tension introduced through the character, but it was one of many elements young Sarah was dealing with on her path...

What have been your avatars in the past?

Thanks! There's a link to see it larger. :) (just noticed that the text under it says "filk" instead of "flick". Hehe. Never caught that before.)

What have been your avatars in the past?

I thought today's new forum server move would be the perfect time to repost my old signatures/avatars from MC's old Delphi Forum. Here they are. These were made between 2000-2002: enjoy! ;)

    Mars Needs Moms

Is it still in the theaters? I'm not keen on the trailers. It reportedly cost over $200,000,000 to make and promote, yet has only made $12,000,000 worldwide in it's first week. That's why Disney axed their involvement with Zemekis' other plans for similar-looking films. I'm looking forward to...

    Cards Section

Thanks. I agree with you guys even though it seems like websites tend to arbitrarily change for some reason. I think the strength of MC is its familiarity. Changing the look or layout should only happen well after all the other areas of the website start to receive regular content Mupdates. :)

    Cards Section

Thanks. Yeah, that be me (from 10 years ago) second down on the staff page. The 40+ menus have stood the test of time for nearly nine years. However, it might be time for someone else to remake all of that.

Thanks! I'm glad this section will be active again. This is the pre-Elmo Sesame I grew up with so that's the section reflects. :super:

The Bible and Love and Christians

I have a difficult time with any idea that motivates by either fear or reward. Doing what's right should be its own reward. :)

    Mars Needs Moms

Why Disney's 'Mars Needs Moms' Bombed - the Hollywood Reporter hits the nail on the head: "How do you throw a party and no one comes? This is outright rejection," one veteran studio distribution chief says. Mars faced several obstacles, according to box office observers. For one...

The Bible and Love and Christians

:) That's exactly how I feel too. _________ On another note, there's been a viral video on YouTube that i've found very offensive. I won't link to it because to me it's just so inflammatory, but it's some nit-wit girl in her 20's who thanks God for the tragedy in Japan because it "shook...

    The Smurf's Triumphant return!

I have to admit to liking some of the film translations of classic cartoons. "The Chipmunks" is somewhat of an aimless guilty pleasure, but it's also cute and has some sweet moments. The squeakuel was a disappointment that should have figured out how to get it right. "Garfield" was a gross...

The Bible and Love and Christians

None of this has been about you specifically or being a terrible person at all. I've never seen substantial American Catholic oppression in my lifetime, but maybe that just from what I know and the places I've lived (Houston, New York, Washington D.C. and San Francisco). I've never lived in the...

The Bible and Love and Christians

Thanks for that. I do mean it. Again, respectfully please remember this statement: There is no "homosexual lifestyle". We're just people trying to live and thrive like everybody else. The lifestyle buzzword is extremely offensive to us because it creates the idea that we are somehow...
