Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
There was Jerry Juhl, his wife (who's name escapes me at the moment) Steve Whitmere, Dave Goelz, Jerry Nelson (though he was interviewed on his own) Karen Prell as well as three others one wh I think was the producer I don't ecall their names.
I'll fill everyone in on all the details...
well I just finished watching the New Fraggle Rock Documentry and I must say I am very pleased, very, very, very pleased. So pleased in fact that for the first time in my life I am going to actually write to a company and thank them for their hard work.
Everyone you'd expect is there (not...
well I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of both Fraggle Rock Season One & Doing What Doozers Do. I have yet to watch both of them but until now i thought i might be able tp provide some cool info.
Apart from a leaflet inside Doing What Doozers Do there's not much i can say about it...
Well i've watched it a total of 8 times
It's been a very wierd experiance watching Mwoo at first I loved it, the first time you see anything Muppets you like it. The 2nd and 3rd time i began to not like it as much but this is the kind of film where the more you watch the more you'll get to...
just thought i'd pass along that Fraggle Rock The Complete First Season is now up for pre-order at Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0009RQSSW/qid=1117145331/sr=1-5/ref=sr_1_5/104-7135041-6240740?v=glance&s=dvd
Since it seems like the Henson company now seem to want to produced movies using computers I wouldn't be at all opposed to seeing a Fraggle CGI film of some sought, i'd rather see them as CGI characters rather than not see them at all.
Seeing as they would be using computers they could do...
Even now I still can't get over the fact that soon we'l not only have season by season box sets of FR but of TMS too, everything we ever hoped would happen, which we doubted would happen a little is happening all at once.
Not only are we getting season box sets of two great shows next year...
This is all too much, New Muppet Site, FR Season Box Sets, MUppet Series 10?, Sweetums and now this :excited: It's great to be a Muppet fan that's for sure and the fact that they're interviewing Jerry Juhl an dsuch is a good sign of what exactly we might expect.
Hi greatoldies4you :)
If i'm not mistaken the European version of the UNcut MFC special that you have on VHS is already available on DVD, the exact same version except it's missing the scene where Fozzie and his Mum are hanging up stockings but I don't thinks your version has that either...
I recieved mine today, I havn't actually sat down and looked at it properly but I can tell you this, the oewter tokens that come with this one are far better than the Muppets one.
After I play the game and look at the locations and stuff carefully I'll comment on it.
I'm really starting to get excited about this film but do all these newer Muppet Movies have to have such long titles "Muppets' Wonderful Wizard Of Oz".
I havn't been this :excited: for a new Muppet production in years, I wasn't that excited for IAVMMCM or MFS or KSY but i'm really excited...
WOW!!!!!!!!!!
how did I miss that announcement?
Anyway I love that the Tom's are back (to bad Clueless and Polly aren't) I'm really starting to warm up to the idea of Disney owning the Muppets. I'll judge them once I see this movie.
YAY for the return of our old favourites :sympathy...
If i'm not mistaken I think the film Frank Oz wanted to direct was "The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made" simply because it's a film he wrote with Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl???? (what was that guys name, the long time Muppet writter).
