Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Oh I agree 100%. There needs to be an expansion to Muppet Vision 3d. Even if its just a small Swedish Chef food cart or whatever. If only they had made a Muppet ride.
And ugh, I hated every single second of the Lady Gaga special. However I loved the 2 hour Muppets takeover QVC shopping channel...
I saw Turbo in 3d in theaters and enjoyed it(cept for the eye rolling third act)
I think Drtooth, we just have to face the music: the public at large(the mainstream public) is not as into the Muppets as we kid ourselves. Sure, everyone "has a favorite muppet"...but 9 times out of 10 kids and...
There's so many dvd "specials"(often just extended on the street episodes), but it would be cool to see a Sesame Street theatrical film...or least a 90 minute dvd movie that looks like a film.
I love how Follow That Bird follows in the original Muppet trilogy vibe of natural styled filming in...

The reason for the dismal box office of MMW is because the modern era has zapped a whole generation of creativity, magic and imagination. MMW was a litmus test...
I can't help it...I know I made the same thread in 2011...and I know the Disney store has a little Muppet corner tucked into the back corner of the store...but am I the only one who feels we really haven't seen much in the way of merch? Especially in the wake of a zillion dollars used for...
Given Disney and other companies sure don't seem to be making much merch, least in America, I'm all for it. The only copyright loophole stuff that bothers me is all the geek t-shirts that ripoff popular game franchises and try and hide under "parody"...which is total crud
Yes, it's no secret I have very little respect for the modern toy industry, but let's examine the worst of the modern blunders.
1. $10-$12 for increasingly dinky, frail 3 3/4 figures. This trend started in 2009 with Avatar, which kicked off the tiny figures for $11 MSRP. Marvel of course has...
