New Muppet CD: Jerry Nelson MIA

I love the new Muppet CD from Rhino. I know that everyone would have done it differently but it is a great collection of songs. My only real issue is that Jerry Nelson is not credited in the performers section. Floyd is heard on some tracks and Pops sings half of the Happiness Hotel. How did...

Jamie featured in article on AIOC website

I was sent this link today and laughed my butt off. I look rather peaked and thin in the picture. I lost several pounds (that I certainly didn't need to lose last quarter) due to enormous stress and lack of sleep. And don't ask about the lack of toner in my hair (its not really that bright)...

Diva Miss Piggy to appear on TV this month!

This item from Billboard.com was brought to my attention a few minutes ago: Usher, Abdul Spin The 'Disco Ball' Usher, Paula Abdul, Aaron Carter, Mya, and Westlife are among the artists confirmed to perform Oct. 13 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium for "The Disco Ball -- A 30th...

    Amazing Links

Muppet Central promotes many sites in the links section (under help) and does allow promotion of them on the forum. This includes everything from Tough Pigs, Muppet Danny's Site and the guides on Kermitage to Muppet World, Noggin and Henson.com. If you want your site listed, please...

Hoobs are Hooby Groovy...and their site too!

I just traveled over to the Hoobs site and it must be somewhat new because I noticed some Flash MX scripting in there. As an American, I have missed out on the Hoob phenomenon and wish it weren't so. I was expecting to see something like henson.com, muppetworld or sesameworkshop.com but I was...

Check out the new look of my site. It contains portions of the my portfolio from the graduation show. I intend to smooth some of the edges, but I am very pleased with the results and comments so far. www.jamesvier.com And the Crossbreed will be coming later this year!

Signs: A movie you can see with your parents?

Wow, not quite the film I expected, but quite a good one. Think I finally get writer/director M. Night Shyamalan (Sixth Sense, Unbreakable). A suspenseful film without many of the CG tricks we are so used to. Classic filmmaking with a good message. PG-13 rated for suspense elements

    Cross-Breed Update!

Sorry I haven't been more active about the state of the Cross-Breed, but it's been rather hectic around here and the initial post sort of jumped the gun a bit. I will keep you posted on the necessary voice work in the future. You may still keep the auditions coming, but no voice work will be...

    Non-figure related items from Palisades?

There has been much debate about the possibility of Palisades releasing 3 different kinds of figures. I'd like to see them all made, but as Zoot and Dingo stated, there are other possibilities that may need exploring. Palisades released mini lunchboxes so their license must cover other items, so...

    Mega Muppets: Your Top Choices

If it were up to you what would you decide in what order? If one mega-Muppet comes out per wave starting this fall/winter that would mean 12-13 slots (wishful thinking). We know that Beaker is the first so lets start with him. 01 Beaker 02 Scooter 03 Pepe 04 Gonzo 05 Janice 06 Animal...

    Cyndi Lauper EP Released!

I am glad to report that after a year of delays some new Cyndi Lauper material is now available in stores! It's not the album that was planned, but this EP titled "Shine" contains 4 songs and a remix of the title track. The cover art shows a simple close-up of a brunette Cyndi. I wonder how long...

    Beware of EB Online!

I ordered 2 Bunsens from EB Online. They accepted the order and said the item was in stock. Then they stalled and said it wasn't in stock. Then they sent me a very poorly packed partial order and Bunsen was broken! I had to send it back and now they say they are not going to order anymore and...

    Weezer Fearurette & Rowlf

Okay, spoilers here for those who haven't seen Weezer's Making the Video on MTV2. What does everybody think of Bill's Rowlf? I can see why they have shyed away from using him too much, but he did a good job. I'd say he is 70% Rowlf 25% Bobo and 5% Pepe. His 2 minute bit was the funniest part...

    Figure Variants: Most/Least Wanted

It is inevitable that if the Muppet series of figures continues past the next few waves that top characters must be represented every year. This will mean variants not only as exclusives but in the regular assortment. These characters will undoubtedly include: Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie...

I'm back from Houston! I had a blast (very humid and icky there though). If any of you guys have any more auds for voices etc I will be able to handle those better now. And to those I have already received - I will talk to you soon about potential casting.;)
